View Full Version : Problems purchasing Xbox points through Paypal?

Has anyone tried to purchase Microsoft Points through the Xbox website recently?

Last week I was able to purchase points, but for some reason when I try this week, the system is unable to process the request. The following message appears:


This action cannot be performed at this time. Please try again later. For more information, go to http://www.xbox.com/support.

Could it be a system error? No, I cannot purchase points using my Credit Card, because for some odd reason I was "blacklisted" from using my current card, even though it's Microsoft's fault (and they acknowledge this, but won't help me resolve it).

Customer supports knows NOTHING either...no surprises there.

Any ideas?

And yes, the Paypal account is still valid.

Bumping this topic because the problem still persists.

Has anyone been through this? How can this be resolved?

It sound's like you are having problems with the credit card so you should call your credit card company and tell them what it is you are trying to do and what is happing and they can tell you your credit status and see if you are blacklisted. Also you might also want to contact paypal after word if your not blacklisted and see if it is a problem on there end since you are using there site to pay for points on another site. Please contact your credit card company first to see if microsoft is right and if not they can help you try to fix and most likely tell you to contact paypal.

It's two, totally different things.

I was blacklisted by Microsoft, not my CC company, for their stupidity on not cancelling Xbox live in 2008 even though I called to canceled and they confirmed that it was. But they never did.

My Paypal was working great until the second week of January, which all this shit began.

And I contacted Paypal and everything is "ok" on their end, so it's Microsoft's stupidity...again... :(
