this was over a year ago, and DS games Now wont boot up, gba games load no problem, and the system boots up like regular, guess its just the DS cartridge port, anyone have any ideas on how i can fix this? thinking about just cutting my losses and selling as is on ebay or the forums here

You can fix it the same way you upgrade a mac. Pick it up, throw it away, and go buy a new one.
But seriously, if there is any chance of salvaging it, you need the tools to take it apart. Once you do that, take the circuit boards and wash them with soap and water. Let it air dry for a few days and reassemble it. All that's left is to pray that it works.
