Can anyone ID this game from the early 90s?

I was watching this 1993 urban movie called Strapped with Bookem Woodbine and Micheal Biehn (it was also Forest Whitaker's directoral debut, good movie). There is a scene where the main characters are playing some 2D game I didn't recognize for about 40 seconds.. but the camera never pans down to what console it is for.. although i'm pretty certain it is not a SNES/Genesis system they're on. You can get the movie on Netflix via mail.. and its worth the time to watch even if you don't know or care what this mysterious game I'm talking about is.

That's the flick where Woodbine keeps flexing/dancing every other scene, for no good reason, like an idiot, right? Terrible movie, IIRC.

The game is Eightman, Neo-Geo.

EDIT #2: It's high time that Eightman gets another game. Back during the Beats of Rage modding craze I was working on something with another person but they disappeared and I ran out of time to spend working on the project.

thanks for the quick response, wasn't aware the film was on youtube or i would have linked to the relevant scene. also, to clarify - Bokeem's character doesn't own the Neo Geo.. it belongs to his drug dealer buddy. I haven't played 8man yet or seen much of its game-play outside of about a half-dozen pictures, so I didn't recognize it when they had it on.
