^I would recommend that others do like in the above picture instead of always having to reach behind the TV.

^I would recommend that others do like in the above picture instead of always having to reach behind the TV. Or, you could just have a television with A/V ports in the front, or on the side. I don't think that many people always reach behind televisions anymore, honestly.

How My game Room Normally LooksYou normally have that huge ball of wires on the floor? You've got quite a few games in there, but honestly, it's pretty claustrophobia inducing. http://www.digitpress.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_neutral.gif

You've got a well-organized collection there, other than the wiring. Tackle that project next.

Back in the '90s, at my local Fry's Electronics, they had VCRs hooked up to this massive shelving unit, and each little shelf had a red button you could push to turn that particular unit on and route the signal to the demo TV. I really wish I had one of those shelves, talk about handy! All the wiring is tucked away, just push a button, and you're playing your Atari 7800 or your TurboDuo. Perfect design. But the shelves were huge, I don't know if I have enough consoles to fill it.

The games are next to their appropriate consoles, I suppose, but they still seem to be all over the place. Honestly, it looks like a lot of disarray in there.

Despite the dust and wiring hell, you have a very nice collection. I still have nothing for the Jaguar or TG16 because I never see it in the wild so I appreciate peopls'e collections that have those systems as well. You also get props for having those rap posters in the background:)

I currently have 5 systems hooked up to my tv thru a system selector. The way I handle the wiring is to take twist-ties and wrap the majority of the loose wiring with them. I leave just another slack to connect the systems to the poweroutlet and have enough free wired for them to move around a few inches in case I need to clean around them. Theres other things you can use to tie the wires up but you should definitely try something for them. It will make your system collection look alot better and the wires of the systems that aren't hooked up to your tv will be nice and organized for when you are ready to hook them up to play a certain game on an unhooked up system.

I have all my systems hooked up to video switches that I then have hooked up to an A/V receiver, daisy chaining video switches in this manner is in my opinion the best way to have everything hooked up at once.

You've got a great looking collection there! It looks like some of your shelves could use some reinforcement though.

Interesting idea with the game tower. Did it used to be one of those stack of drawers that you took the drawers out and added shelves in there?

And flip those longboxes over! You'll warp the manual!

Actually I just ripped the front of the drawers off and trail the wires down behind each drawer. And which longboxes are you talking about?

And which longboxes are you talking about?

The Saturn and Sega CD games. The manuals start to sag after some time like that. If you flip the case over you should be fine.

Sorry, read it in Tips n Tricks back in ye olde days :)

Nice representation. That's a wide array of stuff you've got there.

Awesome carpet btw, seriously. The older systems look right at home with it.

I wish you could still buy carpet like that.

Actually it looks like the 7800's being propped up by the thing underneath it.

Cool collection though, especially as it looks like you have a really tiny space to work in, so kudos for making it work well.
