I'm looking at some games I actually somewhat enjoy the online mode for, and they are all pretty much dead. And of course, they have online achievements that I don't have (usually because I don't buy games at launch very often). I'm sure many of you could say the same thing. So how about we team up against the annoyance of online play achievements?

This thread is an interest check for now, but hopefully it will evolve. Post if you are interested in participating in this sort of thing, what games you would want to do, etc.

I'm sure I have more games I am missing online achievements in, but for me personally off the top of my head, I still want to do some or all of the online stuff in the following games:

Dark Sector (this can be done with just two people I believe, but will take awhile)
Red Faction Guerrilla
Saints Row (you need at least 4 people for most of these)
Saints Row 2 (just mostly just rank badges, but a strongarm team makes it easier for everyone)
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (these would go quick, one needs 4 people)

If anyone needs the one for Dead Rising Case West, the co-op for this takes maybe 5 minutes. You only have to beat the last case together, not the whole game. So one boss fight and it's done. I'll help anyone do it, I have a save at the exact necessary spot.

I remember helping some DP guys out with the first Saints Row before, but I was only there for like one night of it so it never became "my turn" or anything. Hopefully those guys got theirs taken care of though. I've got a second 360 and could potentially set up a second boosting player with that if need be for some games that I can borrow/rent, assuming my router feels like playing nice.


So yeah, post your trouble games, games you'd be willing to help with, and any ideas you might have on making sure this gets done fairly with minimal "i got mine, logout" type drama occurring.

Yeah, I'd be down for that. I know I still need the BK achivements, plus any other XBLA games that require online achievements (Bomberman, Poker Smash, N+, Dash of Destruction, Peggle, Puzzle Quest, many others).

I'll be down whenever I get a 360. Only have a PS3 right now, if anyone wants to do online trophys let me know!

But since I don't... maybe some Steam games like Left 4 Dead or Team Fortress 2? I can help ya out with the Medic + Heavy / Demo / Soldier and Spy + Spy stuff..

I'd help out for Demon's Souls trophies. I have all but 1 or two of the fully upgraded weapons. I'm pretty sure I still need the marrowstone weapon, and if you have that, you probably have all the others.

Dash of Destruction

You can get every achievement by yourself except one that requires a second player. And for that you can still get it yourself as long as you have a second controller. Thats how I got the full 200.

I have lots of games that could make this list but for now I'll keep it simple:

TMNT Arcade
TMNT: Turtles in Time Reshelled
Super Contra

I would totally be up for some Bomberman Act Zero. I have yet to play that game since I purchased it a few years ago. I need to see how god awful it is.

I have Bomberman Live, if that's the game being referred to. Bought it but never played it and would be willing to join a session to do some boosting.

I'm up for boosting achievements, just ask (I have a lot of disc games that haven't been played yet that aren't on my played games list, so I may have the game even if my account doesn't show it).

Comes in handy getting online achievements for games that lack an active online community these days. Was just able to get the viral achievement for Marathon: Durandal despite the online multiplayer having long been a ghost town, thanks to this site.

Most of those achievements wouldn't be super awful, it's just grindy as hell. There's one for destroying 1 million blocks for example.

I'm sure there are ways to make it fun. I've found ways to have fun with most any game. It just depends on who you play it with.

ACt zero has been sitting in my 360 for almost a year now, its not as horrible as the internets make you think, but it is VERY barebones overall and hard as fuck to get anywhere in.

We also need to decide which games we are attempting this for. My initial list is already posted above but I have much more games than that. So someone needs to moderate a start time and the first group of games we will be going after.

dash of destruction can be done completely offline

If you really want to organize it you can use the gaming session tool over on True Achievements. Then you can set a date, time, length of session. It even sends you an email reminder of when the session is.

Just my 2cents, it has really helped my group of friends get through the stupid online achievements.

That sounds like a decent idea, I'll look into that tonight.

edit: here we go, a test session to try this out, for Bomberman Live this upcoming Tuesday night.

just tell the site you want in, then mention you requested in here and I'll approve you. I've got it set for a 4 person match now but I can make it bigger if need be. Same for the 2 hours. Hopefully this will work out ok. we can change the dates and times around until we get into a good spot or whatnot over time.

edit: and it's over. Sadly, no one from this thread showed! However i did meet another guy in-game who was looking to boost, so me and him got all our online achievements. As it turns out, Bomberman is a lot easier to do than we thought, as one person can sign in three guests / accounts and you can do your 4 player things with just the two of you that way. So if anyone in here needs theirs, it's simple, lemme know and I can help out.

I don't have Bomberman. haha. I would have been there to play though if I had it. I'll boost/play literally any game I own if someone wants to play it. Just let me know

So is Tuesday night good? I'll set up a session for another game every week if we want. Or i could start just setting up three a week on different nights or whatever until something sticks.

Perosnally I'm gonna start using trueachievments to try and finish off the online stuff for my volition games I think.

I'd be game for anything. Tuesday nights should usually be fine. Or any night really.

I offer my services up for Resident Evil 5 whoring. I have all the regular game achievements as well as the DLC Lost in Nightmares ones. I welcome help on multiplayer and the second DLC with Josh/Sheva. Not to mention I do enjoy playing this game over and over and over again. Only rule is I must be Chris. Eep.

Sorry I haven't been making any sessions but I've been working on a lot of online multiplayer stuff lately and thus most of my xbox time is going towards that.

Anyone pick up stuff during the sale? Some X-men or Raskulls perhaps could be a good time.

I can pick up Raskulls if anyone wants to play it. I already have 200/200 in X-Men but I'm more than willing to help with it. I also bought Full House Poker if anyone wants to play that. Lately I have just been playing Need For Speed: ProStreet.

Bumping this back up. I've been using trueachievements for a few weeks now, and I've gotten quite a lot of online shit done with via the matchmaking system on the site. There also is a feature to create your own leaderboards. So I've made a DP leaderboard:

So if you have an account there, ask to get in and mention who you are. If you don't have one, make one if you want in. This way we can find each other easily, and also do mild competition based on who got the most gamerscore this week etc.
