Hi guys I preordered my self a 3ds and I'm wandering what launch WEEK game i should buy for it. Im already getting new super mario bros ds, mario kart ds and maybe mario vs donkey kong minland mayhem. (I never owned a ds so there new to me)
Im thinking ridge racer 3d might be the one to go for. It reminds me of the early ridge racer games and i heard a person who played it at e3 talking about how cool it was to play a rr game were you can see all around the car in 3d while racing witch gives you a really cool edge.
Theese are the launch week games im looking at:
Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition

Ridge Racer 3D

ravin rabbids travel in time

Thanks guys.:)

I would say Ridge Racer or Street fighter out of the games on your list. Personally, I am going with Steel Diver, since it is something new and it uses all the features of the 3DS such as the gyroscope.

Steel Diver is really the only launch title I'd be interested in as well. So I'll probably wait until either they lower the price or come out with something else to justify spending 250 on a new handheld

How is ssf4 different from the console versions?
Edit I just watched your vid. Figure collecting looks foolish but I'll still get it at launch.

Raving Rabbits looks like the best launch title to me. The idea of a new Mega Man Legends interests me, as well as the Cave Story remake, neither are launch week titles.

Rabids.
It looks like many of the 3DS' initial tiltles are games that may have started as DS titles and got tweeked for the DS. Given that I think I'll likely onlt pick up a couple of the launch titles.
Rabbids or Street Fighter both look good to me.
Ridge Racer looks like a PS1 game.
I think Lego Star Wars or Samurai Chronicles are likely picks for me as well.

I'd go with Super Street Fighter IV.

Even though I'm a huge Ridge Racer fan...paying $40 for a RR title just seems wrong.
I'm buying the 3DS at launch to ensure I have one when the good stuff starts to trickle out this summer. The launch titles though...ugh. They all look lame. From the gameplay videos I've seen, Dead or Alive could possibly be qualified as the least lame.

I just hope that the 3ds does not bomb out like so many other "new tech" systems before it. You remember the CD-i and its state of the art games.
I would get sf4 out of the launch games.

I said SSF4 above, but I'll also get DOA too. 3D bouncing boobs - I'm in for that :)

i would say ridge racer, being that i have StreetFighter 4 on my iphone 4, which looks great and plays fine once u get use to the controls

Ya rapavi, i hope it dont bomb as well. I think with the ds lines sales figures plus it being a nintendo product coupled with the fact thats its the first 3d without glasses device it will sell well. I saw something about how you can program 4 combo moves on to the toutch screen in ssf that seems cool. I think ridge racer will be the one though. Thanks guys

None of the launch games look any good so I'm gonna wait to pick up a 3DS until Megaman Legends 3 comes out. Hopefully some good games come out by then and not just glorified tech demos like the DS launch was and the 3DS launch appears to be.
