What's a tested (repaired in multiple ways) and well-working model 1 Sega CD worth? I don't see any completed working ones on eBay.

I dislike shipping stuff like this, so my plan was to put it on CL w/ a Genesis, hookups, 2 controllers and some games. What would you ask?

The games I have to put with it are:
SCD - Sol Feace
Gen
Kid Chameleon
NHL Hockey
Tecmo Super Bowl
Bubsy II
Todd's SLime World
Shadow Dancer

I would price that lot at $50-$60 if I was selling it locally.

IMO for the model 1 a bit higher than that....as a lot with games...I'd think more like $80ish or so....I'd price a working model 2 at $50-60. The Model 1s are mostly dead these days...a lot rarer and easily the best looking of the Sega CDs IMO.

Since some non-working ones went in the $50 range (+shipping!) on eBay in the past several months, I went with the high end and put the lot up on CL for $80. A real nice local guy that collects Sega stuff and had bought a Sega CD on launch day picked it up from me for $75.

I think I hit the right combination of some games, the right buyer, a nice unit, and I found that the Genesis was a non-TMSS one and put that it the ad. The guy specifically mentioned he was excited about that when he picked it all up. I also wired in fuse holder, so that's a nice little upgrade.

Cool....glad things worked out well for both you and the buyer :)

Model 1 is kinda interesting. Less reliable and rarer. Yet overpriced relative to its gameplay different from model 2. I've never understood the hype, perhaps because I never owned a model 1 at all.

I bought a faulty model one for $80 dam all it needed was a full cap change and a new fuse plus i replaced the back up ram.
If i was you at least $100 minimum.
I know i am in the uk but i know dudes in the usa so its so cool plus i buy lots of sega cd model ones and repair them all and sell them again to keep these going.

Definitely I would start at about $75 locally. There are a lot of buyers for the model 1 cd systems and they seem to sell quickly and easily.
