Hey there Buckaroos! Just wondering if you need an adaptor to play a UK NES game on a US NES. Thanks! :rocker:

Hey, another 'Sconi! (I'm from the Oshkosh area myself)

Dunno for sure, but as I recall, the carts are NOT compatible, and I'm not sure if there's an adaptor that will make that work. But if there are any experts here, add "do Australian carts work in US machines?" too.

In my luck they do not (one or two flashes of the title screen then green screen of death). There is a pin you can cut on a chip on the board that kills all lock outs and makes your system universal, but all PAL games still play 16.67% faster on an NTSC system (music too, higher pitched).

As far as I know, there are no repurcussions of doing this correctly. Anyone know otherwise?

It won't work (the game keeps resetting)

You can mod your NES (http://www.nesworld.com/unines2.htm), it's not hard to do.
I'm sure there are converters too.
