I ordered me a Super Famicom from ebay, and the system didn't come with an AC adapter. I've looked around and heard some people say that you can use the AC adapter from a NES, but I've also heard that you shouldn't use it as it would fry the system. Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

if its a Japaneses Super Famicom I believe you can use a genesis model 1 power supply on it or here http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=113827

A Famicom power supply will work with a Super Famicom, however, an NES power supply will fry your SFC. You can use anything that outputs 10V DC, at least 850mA and is center pin negative. If needed you can safely go ± 1V.

Well, looks like I'm off to find a model 1 Genesis adapter, it's a damn shame that I have a model 2 Genesis LOL
