Hi, my playstation 2 slimline had disc read errors but unfortunately when I took it apart to repair the reset button fell apart.

I cleaned the laser and cleared any dust away but cannot test if the system is working as I'm having trouble getting a replacement reset switch.

The system I have is a 90000 version which seems to make what appears to be a simple job a nightmare!

Anyone know where I can buy a replacement switch or test the laser & power supply (which soundds like it is working)? I'm in the United Kingdom.

Cheers

im not sure if this is the switch you are looking for

http://powergamingparts.com/ps2-slim-v12-on--off-power-switch-and-.html

ive never purchased anything from that site, but thats the first link of relevance from google.

or here

or grab the soldering gun and some super glue and see what you get first since its already broken

Might try the 2nd option using soldering iron and so on. Having no luck on ebay as I ordered a 90000 switch from Hong Kong and it still wouldn't fit.

As Jeremy Clarkson says: "How hard can it be?" lol
