Are they any good? I just picked up the 3 in 1 NES/SNES/Genesis one to use with my Super Famicom when it comes in.

I've used one for a snes and nes. Works fine.

Alright, I just tried testing it with my SNES, and the picture was all wavy and the colors were distorted. And I know it isn't the system, because I plugged in the AC adapter that came with the console (the official Nintendo one) right after that and it was working fine. Just to make sure, I plugged the 3 in 1 back in to check, and sure enough, craptastic picture.

Back to Play N Trade with this piece of crap.

Yours might just be broken. Like I said, mine works fine with an NES and SNES.

Non-standard AC adapters tend to be less "clean" than the official ones. If you get one that works flawlessly, you're lucky.

I took it back and exchanged it for a model 1 Genesis AC adapter, which was what I wanted in the first place. Since they were awesome enough to do that, I got it for $7, rather than the $15 people were asking for on ebay or amazon.

Yeah I snagged on for a snes that didn't have a ac adapter, and I am wondering if its the reason I am getting no picture, the red light comes on, av cables are in correctly but nada on the screen.

Now its not getting nothing, I think its the crappy adapter. Ugh gonna hit up CL to see if I can find one locally and get my money back before I hit up ebay.

And as if to mock me, I finished cleaning up the carts, now there all working, unplugged the adapter a couple times, all seems to be well. Will let it sit for a bit and try it again later.

thrist shops before ebay any day. you'd be suprised, $1 and $2 bundles of adaptors, after a while you lean sizes and markings on the bricks so its rather quick to humm through them and find something.
i found a game cube adapter the other day for $1 at the good will as is store....awsome place. i got a working laser disc player for $4 and a vectrix and 2 games for $5, plus more main stream consiles for chump change than i can keep count of
