Just got another bundle of goodies from my man in Japan... so a few more details for the list as usual that aren't already there...

Fire Emblem V: Trakia 776 comes on some sort of special memory cart. Looks like you can store some other stuff on it. Need to investigate more thoroughly on this me thinks! It's called the "SF Memory cassette" and first appeared in 1997 (that's the copyright for it).

Nichibutsu Arcade Classics: SHVC-AACJ-JPN

Nichibutsu Arcade Classics 2 contains 4 variations of the old arcade game "Alien". Code is SHVC-AAEJ-JPN.

Demon's Blazon (NOT BlazeOn as it is in the list): SHVC-3Z

Fatal Fury 2: SHVC-DJ

Rockman & Forte: SHVC-AR6J-JPN

Sadly not, not a game I've come across. It did rather intrigue me to see the Fire Emblem game on a generic memory cart with just a sticker to identify it that is was the real thing. Hold on, I'll go do a scan of it...

//buzz whirr light flashing...

Right here you go :D

Cheers for that... curious that such a high profile commercial release such as this pack would come on the memory cart. Am I right in thinking that if the cart holds more than 1 game, then a menu is auto produced so you can choose which one to play? Hence obviously with no menu on this cart, FE776 must be the only program on it...

I wouldn't mind finding "Power Lode Runner" or "Super Famicom Wars" now on that format..

I just went through my roms with a special build of NSRT... it appears that the serial codes of approximately half of the Japanese games were dumped, plus games in other regions (not reliable, though). I would post it, but the text file is over 2 mb. I will post the codes on my list, as soon as I find someone who can translate Japanese for me.

Hi People,

just alittle note about the SF Memory Cart these were widely available, you could take them along to stores that had Nintendo machines SFC machines they'd have alist of games you'd plugin your SF memory Cart and download them i think each game was $10 roughtly...

One recently went on ebay.com it had a few games on it i think it can carry 5 games, the one on ebay had 3 games f-zero and 2 others..

Also look out for jap sellers on ebay.com these SF carts pop up from time to time!! some clear and some with games, i'd say there nice item to collect since i think the system nintendo had for putting games on these Memory carts has finished now!

But since Nintendo Japan has just closed production on Nes and Snes over there, it's probably a good guess there are some of these store systems around still!!

How cool would it too be a collector in Japan!!

Also if any one was wondering i only collect american Snes stuff!! used to collect SFC but sold that part of my collection a while back!!

Hope that helps in some way!!

Hi,

I was just searching around for US snes games when i came across a guy that was selling alot of snes and jap stuff, if i'm not wrong he was in the US as well... i have search thru old e-mail and my history but i can't find the seller or the auction sorry, the only reason i remembered it was the cart and the label with the big SF on the cart label, i think the carts also bright white!

If you just do searches thru either SFC, alot of the jap sellers always us just SFC then the name of the item!

Super famicom is the obvious, but doesn't turn up much!!

If i see anything related to this thread in the future i'll post alink or the info in the collecting forum!

I think most of what i'v just said you'll already know but i hope it helps..

just for the record, fire emblem trachia 776 exists in 2 different versions:

1. the nintendo power version was released in 1999,the set contained a nintendo power 32megs cart with fire emblem already on it and the game manual:

2. the standard cartridge release in 2000(i believe it was the last game
released for sfc in normal cartridge form)

both releases were limited and go for about $60 on yahoo japan

there are alot sample cartridges(wich were very common for shop preview)
that are not on the list.
the japanese dont care...
most go for $30 and hardly fetch any bids(beside the square ones with box and manual)
yesterday i found a yet unreleased and undumped demons blazon sample, but i dont think its worth the money(about $40)
smells like retail pcb with standard nintendo sample sticker

If someone comes across one of these please let me know I would love to get my hands on the Memory cart. Also can these be reprogrmmed assuming you have the right equipment?

mayhem:how much did you pay for the fire emblem set?
$120?
its the one in the treasure chest-like box, right?

nintendo power carts are very common at yahoo japan, japanese video game dealers(like yamatoku) just dont sell them on ebay.
currently, you cant reprogram them yourself, atleast not through the cartridge interface.
instead you may want to get a snes backup unit or look here for instructions on how to build your own snes cartridges: http://snesdev.romhack.de

Yep it is... I paid $150 for it but it was like new (everything was still in its bag etc) so I figured it was worth it :)
