Bullet storm black screen question for xbox 360

I was playing bullet storm yesterday and when I got to chapter 5 part 3 where you have to kill mutants from destroying the lift wheel when my lift crashed the yellow circle came up for 3 seconds then right to a black screen. All the menus worked like the start and select menu. After 2 minutes or so my controller when the screen just showed black started to rumble. Any idea on what the problem is?

I'm sure it just glitched. I've had to restart from the previous save a few times due to getting 'stuck' on stuff and not being able to get free.
