Digital Press's setup was my most frequently visited spot in the PAX East expo hall last year. So, I was disappointed when I took a look at the expo hall map for this year, and saw no mention of DP anywhere! I decided to call the NJ store up, and the guy who picked up assured me that they WOULD be at PAX East. What's the verdict here?

If DP's there that'll be pretty cool... what would they be doing/selling?

Well, last year they brought a small selection of their in-store wares, as well as copies of the DP Collectors Guide and Collectors Guide Advance. I've only got the latter, which only covers the TG-16 up to the Dreamcast, nothing previous. So I was really looking to pick the first guide up. The game and console selection was a bit all over the place. Some relatively common stuff - N64 games, etc. - and some more uncommon stuff - like a Super Famicom! If they do show this year, I can promise you that's where I'll be spending all my expo hall dough.

Quick update: Called the store, and they WILL be at the event. They're actually deciding what to pack up today, and from just talking to the guy behind the counter and making suggestions, I was able to have some sway over what they might be bringing up. If you have something in mind, give them a call today!
Also, I'd be interested if you'd like to meet up at some point during the weekend at Console Freeplay and check out what they've got for classics. At the very least, we could break out Battle Mode on Super Mario Kart or something like that.

We'll be there for sure, but as of my last conversation with Joe at last weeks NAVA I don't believe that we're going to have a table on the floor or sell anything this year.
Instead this time around we're going to focus on having a more persistent presence in the console freeplay room, running tournaments, etc.

I was the one you spoke with from the store. After talking to Joe, Frankie is correct and there will be no table, but Digital Press will have a strong presence at the show. On a side note, come to NAVA. It's exciting and Digital Press will have the WHOLE store at the NAVA event.

We're not doing a booth this year, but we are a sponsor. What we're packing up are several dozen classic gaming consoles and about a hundred classic games to go with them for use in the free classic consoles area.
See you there!
