I was talking to a few DP people, and they said that I should be posting/asking for help here instead of possibly in buying/selling.

Here is the deal:
I have a surf planet board, the extender board (I forgot what it is called), and the joystick.

Everything seems to work perfect on this (picture, sounds, etc) except for some reason, no matter what I do, the game thinks that the joystick is held in all the way to the right.

Now, it does this even without the joystick plugged in. I have tried a system reset on this and I have tried adjust the little thing that the manual says to adjust, and still have an issue.

I am willing to pay somebody and cover all shipping costs if I can send this out to you and have you work on it/fix it for me.

Either that or give me some tips to try. The manual is out on klov if anybody wants to look at that.

This is big and heavy, so if it is possible to keep this to within the people in the states here, it would be very awesome. If you need a specific part, I will cover that. I will cover what you think it is worth to work on it (please don't charge too much, as I am trying to make it so that it is cheaper to do this way than to go to eBay and buy another one), but that can all be worked out if anybody has the time.

If you have the time, please send me a PM, as I consider this game one of my personal grails. Yes, I have a weird taste in games I want really bad, but this game is fun. I would love to be able to actually play this game.

Please reply to this post with maybe a tip or 2 I can try, maybe if you had the time to help me with some repair stuff, or if you have the time to have me mail this out, I can work with whatever.

Ok, it is called a filter board. With the filter board always plugged in, with or without the joystick, the game will boot up just fine. It will work as though nothing is wrong. I get sound, video, and the coin works and the start works. For some reason, it always thinks that I am constantly holding in right on the joystick.

What makes it very odd is that it will do this whether the joystick is plugged in or not. This is what is believeing me to think that it is the board. I have actually tried 2 different filter boards, and it does the same thing on both.

The chances of the joystick being the issue are slim and none since this happens regardless of whether the joystick is even plugged in.

This is how I concluded that it was the board itself
