Amazingly enough, I've been unable to find even one picture of a NEW copy of this game. Not the PAL or JPN versions either for that matter. I suppose being a pack-in (for America anyway), 99% of owners would've opened it real quick.

I remember the game being unsealed, but that's really just conjecture at this point. It was over 20 years go after all, and while I'm going off of a fairly vivid memory, I can easily be mistaken. Still, I have pretty vivid memories of getting into it very quickly. I remember Safari Hunt/Hang On for the Master System being unsealed as well, but then I was wrong about the direction that the cartridges faced, so...

Meh, I should just stop typing now, because I'm not offering anything useful here. :|

Even if the pack-in version of Altered Beast wasn't sealed, there were still retail versions that had to have been.

Well the Master System one for sure was sealed. Dunno much about Brazilian Genesis releases.

I remember the game being unsealed.

Its unsealed, I have a sealed launch system and the game is unsealed.

OK. That leaves the other regions then. Wherever it was not packed in, is likely the best place to dig for info.

Altered Beast pack in for the Sega Genesis was unsealed… also does NOT have a hang tab.

Anybody here in PAL-land know about that version?
