I recently won this copy of Spiderman: Lethal Foes on Ebay. I thought it was a bit fishy cause there is no screw holes, but I was like whatever, its cheap. After inspecting the cartridge, theres quite a few differences in the cart, first it is not like any US, Japan, or Euro cart Ive ever seen, the casing is held together by 4 clips, 2 on top like a regular cartridge, then 2 on the sides. There are the system slots like on a US cart molded on the back (these are MOLDED and not cut in by somebody) and the warning label is molded into the plastic in English....heres some pics:

I dont know what to think on this one....I cant take it apart cause Im afraid to break the clips holding it together. The game plays flawlessly and the cart label looks 100% legit.

That really looks like a pirate to me. The two Japanese SFC carts I own have screws...

yeah thats what threw me off, the lack of screws. But Ive never seen a Japanese pirate (the game has no english or even chinese) that is in a SFC looking case but clearly meant to be played on a US system. The label looks perfect too, like the pirates peeled it off of an official release and stuck it on this. I was thinking because of the casing, maybe it is some sort of copy used in the US for potential importing? (seeing as how this is the lone spidey game never to reach US soil)

Yup that's a pirate cart, all official SFC carts have the sticker label on the back as well as the screws and official Nintendo logos.

figured.....oh well! at least it was cheap, cant see myself spending 60+ on this game cart only, its actually pretty lame, but as far as Spiderman games on SNES go...... this is the best!!!!! haha :)

Not to mention that a Japanese game will have a Japanese caution label.

Yeah, the embossed plastic warnings gave it away for me. Plus the wonky top-down view also looks suspicious.

The only embossed text I've ever seen is on a NA Turtles in Time cart, and I think it was Evan that said it's only been seen on Majesco carts (and upon opening the cart, indeed it is a Majesco).
Though I have a couple other Majesco carts with normal sticker labels (hard to tell if they're cart only, it's easier to spot a CIB because the manuals were fully B&W and the boxes only mentioned Majesco in the copyright info on the back).
