I am an eBay spectator that usually likes watching people bid on eBayers' auctions. I have found some pretty interesting auctions from this one particular eBayer, but they haven't been selling. I'd like to point out to this eBayer what the flaws are with this one auction for why it isn't selling and let him know of what to change so that someone would bid on it. I just don't know what to tell him as I cannot see any problem. Could you guys please spot any problems in this auction and possibly any others?

LOL

Anyway, shipping is $6 for "USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box®" when that is not even true. Second, the "NO RETURNS ACCEPTED" is a turnoff to many buyers. Third, the two negatives in the last 30 days. Fourth, no mention of "combined shipping". Fifth, shipping may be a tad high depending on the item.

He could stop selling crap third party broken junk that only someone with a lot of time and patience on their hands could benefit from. Those ending prices don't seem out of line considering what it is he is selling. Are you this seller or just trying to drive traffic to this seller? I smell a scam here.

This is exactly what I was thinking.

Not true in what way? That USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box isn't $6? You are correct, it's $10.95, so he's losing $5 right there... The _SMALL_ flat rate box is $5.20, so he makes 80 cents profit if he uses that box...

Not true in the sense that he's saying $6, and will probably ship it 4th class mail for $1.25? Yeah, that could be true, but what proof do you have?

Second, the "NO RETURNS ACCEPTED" is a turnoff to many buyers.
Not to anyone that actually uses eBay and is familiar with it. There's no such thing as 'no returns accepted' on eBay anymore, regardless of what the auction listing says. You don't like something, you just file a claim with PayPal, show that you shipped the item back, and you get your refund. There's _NOTHING_ a seller can do or say to stop this process. Returns are _ALWAYS_ accepted on eBay, regardless of a seller's 'policy'.

Third, the two negatives in the last 30 days. Fourth, no mention of "combined shipping". Fifth, shipping may be a tad high depending on the item.

Yeah, negatives don't help (and one of them claiming he's selling fake games). Combined shipping is something you can always ask about if you really care about the items... Shipping might be high, especially when it's more than the cost of the item, but again, that's the fault of the USPS (high prices) and eBay/PayPal (you _have_ to ship with tracking and insurance if you want to protect yourself against scams...) Probably not even worth it for a $5 item, but that's eBay policy...

Now, to the original poster:

I have found some pretty interesting auctions from this one particular eBayer, but they haven't been selling.
What, exactly, do you find 'pretty interesting' about the crap he's trying to sell? Bottom line: The reason it's not selling is because no one wants it. You could put most of that up for 99 cents and free shipping and it still wouldn't sell... No one buys PS1/PS2 controllers, it's too easy to just find them in the trash. :)

You seriously call yourself an eBay 'spectator' to watch bidding, and you are watching stuff like this?

(Yeah, we've figured out you are just trying to get people to look at your auctions, but it really isn't going to help. :) )

Correct. He either sends them regular Priority Mail, First Class Mail, Media Mail, or Parcel Post. No way a "flat rate" option is feasible here. Sure, he can use a small flat rate box, but I am pretty sure an option such as "First Class Mail" will be used.

Problem with this is that many buyers are anal: if the seller states one shipping method and they use another, even if it's an upgrade/superior to the original method, some may still bitch about it. Sad, but true, as I've seen this happen on occasions.

I have no proof that will ship using a lower shipping method, but a gut feeling, specially seeing other listings from other sellers, make me believe this will be the case.

You know this. I know this. We all know this. But tell that to the seller in question, and to many other sellers that still believe that they can put "NO REFUNDS" in their listings. Same as insurance and delivery confirmation.

Hell, I would be a "spectator" too if I was paid to do so. :D

97.8% Positive feedback

That's your problem. I'm at 99.3% and even I think I'm low.

All you have to do to raise your feedback level is buy more stuff and pay right away. Problem solved. Nobody's perfect unless they are successful with cover-ups or deal-making / willing to take losses in exchange for good feedback.

Wow, this eBayer isn't me. I was just advertising another seller. Anyways, I do have an eBay account and it is

cookiecrumble21

Also, my previous one was

Spacedog199

-In order to sum it all up, look at my selling feedback and feedback ratings on Spacedog199. God forbid if I advertise another eBayer selling great controllers...

This is interesting that you are directing us to the eBay username of a previously BANNED Digital Press member.
(Reference: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=146793)

I knew I remembered an eBay seller who only sold "refurbished" controllers.

Btw, if memory serves he was banned for advertising his own auctions (while pretending they weren't his auctions), and then writing a "bad review" of Digital Press on some business website.

EDIT:
Oh, also

Hello, I bought this Playstation 2 Dualshock 2 Controller off of eBay to repair. It seems that none of the buttons are working. I even tried cleaning the controller, including the contacts, rubber pieces, and buttons. I also tried switching rubber pieces and buttons; and I tried crumpling up paper to put inside the buttons. Nothing worked. When I go to use this controller, the Analog LED lights up, but none of the buttons work when I'm either in the main menu or playing a game. I've tried other functional controllers and they work flawlessly. Does anybody know how I could make the controller's buttons work again? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day.

P.S. I have a lot of the same Dualshock 2 Controllers that don't work, that you guys could probably help me with.

I am trying to repair this Sony brand Dualshock 2 Playstation 2 controller. I am wondering how to open up the controller's connector (the part that plugs into the controller port) so that I can test the wires from the circuit board to these pins in the connector. Do you guys have any clues on how to safely open this connector up without damaging the plastic further?
Not that this means anything, but an interesting observation.

You somehow manged to make looking at ebay bidding sound creepy.

As to why they are not selling, people don't want to pay 10.00 for last gen 3rd party junk.
