A Retro Duo doesn't use the NES 7pin standard, so no Powerglove. SNES controllers only. As for if the Super Scope works, let me get back to you on that. I'm not sure.

The Retron 3 should be able to use both the NES zapper and the Super Scope 6 since it has the classic ports. The Duo can use the Super Scope 6. Hope this helps

I'm not trying to be rude, but could someone explain the appeal of these aftermarket systems?? Maybe it's just personal preference, but I like playing my games on original systems - it's not like they're expensive to replace, probably why I don't play too much on emulators.

When I got my retro duo, it was cheaper to get that than a NES (I think I paid around $35 for it), plus it saves space for me without having to hook up 2 units. I do have a few SNES's that I have hooked up in other rooms, but for me, it's the convenience of having 2 consoles in 1 to save time on swapping them out, space, and just a nice little unit over all.

The appeal of clones for me personally is the novelty factor. Systems that combine two of my old favorites is a win-win.

You should've made your topic title a little clearer. I was expecting this to be about the PC Engine/Turbo Duo.

I'm not trying to be rude, but could someone explain the appeal of these aftermarket systems??It's essentially the same appeal as first party consoles. Because they play video games.

However, after market system are currently available new at retail outlets. They're cheap, they often support multiple different game formats, and all-in-1 unit with saves space and time. Plus they come in several different colour schemes to suit your taste, and typically offer more options than original hardware did.
To some things up:
Value (they're cheap)
Reliability (they're brand new returnable items with warranties)
Availability (you can find them practically everywhere)
Convenience (they usually play several different formats and have universal controllers, and less wires and power supplies to wrestle with)
Aesthetics (there are different styles to choose from and their new boxed items making them very presentable as gifts)
You should've made your topic title a little clearer. I was expecting this to be about the PC Engine/Turbo Duo.I thought the same thing.

Well to me a duo system is cheaper then a nes, and with a duo i can just use one set of cables and system for the snes and nes, ive never personally gotten and after market system though.
