I went into GameStop today to pick up DA:II and noticed some pretty decent prices on their GBA games. Apparently their going to quit selling them in April. Might be a good time to drop by and look for a deal. Most of the prices were between $3.00 and $10.00. Just thought I'd give everyone the head's up. I picked up a few decent titles for a whopping $17.

I had no idea they still had them.

We still have them in every EB Games I've been to, they don't seem to sell too often but I can ocassionally pick up the odd one for $0.99. I guess they'll be cleared out here in 2013 as we're usually behind compared to the US.

As far as the games I want goes, I'm only missing Ninja Five-O and they won't have that.
I'll still look though. thanks for the tip.

Sadly the only Gamestop close to me that had any GBA games had nothing but licensed garbage. I did find a copy of Super Mario Advance 4 in with the junk but it was like $20.

I think I'll keep an eye on when they start lowering the prices. There's a complete-in-box copy of Pokémon FireRed I wouldn't mind getting my hands on if the price is right

I smelled it coming a mile away. :(
With the 3DS coming out, DS/DSLite (last system to play GBA) will no longer be current hardware.

You and me both. It's like they only printed 50 copies or something.

Don't lose hope, I found my copy of Ninja Five-0 at a Gamestop in one of my local malls a couple of years ago.

Which is why a liquidation like this does nothing to get me into their stores. Whoopity doo, loose carts.

The gamestop in my local mall sells the majority of gba games in box

And that bin of loose carts is usually behind the counter around here. Gotta ask or you'll never see it.

I haven't seen a complete GBA game in GameStop in years. Like Port, I might care if the liquidation was on boxed games, but unless we're talking prices like 3 bucks and under, I don't care about loose carts.

I've seen a few boxed GBA games at some local Gamestops, before they stopped selling GB games I saw a couple boxed GBC games too.

Is this at select stores, or a national thing? I was in at my local store, and the manager hasn't heard anything about this

On April 3rd GameStop won't be taking anymore GBA stuff in for trade. Just like when they stopped carrying Org. XBox games, you'll see inventory's consolidated down to one or two stores per district, after a few months you'll see 25% off, then 50% off, then it'll be buy one get two free, then finally like a year later if any are left it'll be 75% off.

Right on, the store near me is one of the stores that they consolodate games at. They still have a collection of Gamecube games.
I have always been interested in their GBA games, but they want an arm and a leg for them it seems. Maybe now I will pick some up, and some more Gamecube while I am at it, since they are dwindling quite quickly.
