I have this Standard Controller by Pelican for the original Playstation 1. I have been using it ever since I have gotten the console and I love it. I had one of my friends borrow it and now it doesn't work at all. None of the buttons will work. I'm assuming there's a break somewhere in the cord, but I'm not sure. Could you guys please help me?

are you sure its the controller? do you have another controller that works in the system?, did you slap your friend for breaking your stuff?

The only way to check if it is a break in the cable is to open up the controller and test for continuity in each of the wires. I'm not too familiar with the pinout for that particular system, but I'm sure it can be found online. If the cable proves to be the problem, you can swap it for a cable from another controller. If you're comfortable doing this kind of thing, you might also be able to take a controller extension cable and cut the female end off and use that instead. Extension cables will be much easier to find.
Or, you can do what I would do, and just buy another controller...

Yes, it's the controller. All the others work. I did slap my friend.
