Ishido Genesis 3 Compatibility Question

I bought a complete in box Ishido, but the cart doesn't play in my Genesis 3 (which plays most any Genesis cart), so I bought another Ishido cart but it doesn't work either. They both just show a totally blank black screen with no "Sega" or anything. I've had a totally blank screen with a few other Genesis carts in the past, but I would remove/reload or hit reset a few times and they would work. Is Ishido just not compatible with Genesis 3 or am I having bad luck finding a working Ishido cart?

Ishido is only compatible with early Genesis consoles that don't display the copyright info before the game starts. You can bypass this with a Game Genie and get those few games like Ishido to work. However, since you have a Genesis 3, you're out of luck unless you have another Genesis.
