Sorry to burst y our bubble, but yeah you won't find an NES-101 with all the hookups and the controller for less than at least $90 with shipping. What I suggest is that you save up some extra money and buy from a guy who goes by akaviolence.

He sells composite modified NES 2 Toploaders and does quite a good job. He usually sells them in a collective bundle like this one

http://cgi.ebay.com/Original-NES-TOP-LOADER-w-RCA-JACKS-2-Pads-9-games-/150568400312?pt=Video_Games&hash=item230e9375b8

but if you contact him you can place a custom order. I got a system from him for $150 which included the console, two dogbone controllers, a stereo mixing pot and an overclock crystal. No hookups though because I didn't need them. If all you are looking for is a system that's got composite video and a dogbone controller, I'll bet he'd sell you one for around $110ish. It's worth the extra cash.

I should also mention I'm not affiliated with him at all, just happened to have bought from the guy and had a fairly good experience.

I don't know, one time I bought one for $35 + $10 shipping on ebay from a guy who said "some of my games work but not all of them so I think my system is messed up, I'm selling it"

I got it and as I guessed, it was just the guy's cartridges that sucked. All my games ended up working so I was able to resell it for $80 locally and turn a $35 profit.

I have noticed that some early revisions of certain NES titles won't play on certain decks, usually top loaders. I had a copy of Dragon Warrior that worked flawlessly on my front loader but not the top loader. I traded it for another copy that ended up working on both.

I have one with a nice dogbone controller. Not sure if I have a RF/power supply for it, but those can be had for cheap, plus it will save a ton on shipping. Looking for $60 plus shipping(probably $10-12).

Unfortunately, I am headed outta town until the 28th. If you PM me today before 4pm, I can get it in the mail.
Good luck!

Having it modded would be alot better, I mean the Top Loader without the mod has horrible lines through the screen.

Indeed, worse once the RF port starts getting loose and cuts out. I really have been slacking! I was supposed to send mine out to mod some time ago. >_>

You can still find them but it's hard, Being unemployed really helps finding bargains.

I got lucky and found one on Craigslist for $40 with 13 games. It was from an older couple who just bought a Wii. Once I got it home the lines going trough the screen was driving my nuts, so I sold it on ebay for like $119 and bought the original NES for $27 at the Goodwill.

If it was something that I just had to have, I would probably buy a modded one though. The PS3 is $299, the Xbox 360 is $199 and games are $59, I bet your next NES will outlive them both.

And from my experience, don't buy a clone. I bought one and it was okay, but it eventually lead me to buying the real deal. I came to the conclusion that, if I'm playing on a clone, where everything is close but not exactly the way I remember it, I might as well just play roms on my computer.

Good luck
