Best Crazy Taxi score??

I am trying to beat the world record for the sega dreamcast and was wondering how you guys have done in this game. My best videotaped score is from today with 30,576 with gus (10 out of 15 on twin galaxies after i submit ;). i love this game.



ps: offspring and bad religion for one hour straight... jesus christ.

Nice... I couldn't ever get any higher than 8 or 9 fares on my best day; and I played a pretty fair amount. Maybe I just didn't use the crazy boost well enough? Solid score!

Wow, I didn't realize that my wife and I were that good at Crazy Taxi (I never knew what other people scored). I'll have to revisit it again. I don't remember my scores anymore, but I know that they were in the tens of thousands for sure, and I only played it casually. I could stay on that game for a long ass time, man.

I think the world record was about 115,000, but that was with easier settings.

My record with standard settings is about 40,000 (maybe 42,000? I don't remember it well)

PS: Ok, I just checked it out (strangely, my highest score was just the same day, a year ago)

With default settings:

38,311.89 with Gena, (way back in 2005)

3,493.23 with BD Joe, on Work for 3 minutes mode

5,045.76 with B.D Joe, on Work for 5 minutes mode

11,078.41 with Gena, on Work for 10 minutes mode

Then, I saw a video of the world record, were they changed the settings to make it easier. I made the same, and my score was:

I think my record was something like 35,000, I played it until I had to go to bed. I was 13, it was April 6, 2006. Dreamcast version, arcade mode.

The next day a massive high end F3 tornado came within 10 miles of my house. I was at school and it missed my school by half a mile. :eek: The power was cut, luckily all the electronics in my house including the Dreamcast were fine. IIRC, I still had plenty of time, so I could have probably made 50k.

I was blessed that day. 7 people died, and thousands of houses and businesses were destroyed.
