I've heard of a few things that will be happening concerning the big launch on Sunday and thought we need a thread for just such a list.

Toys R Us will be having Buy 1 get one 1/2 off for all 3DS games on Sunday.

If you are trading in an old DS lite or DSi, GameStop is giving the most for your trade-ins: $50 for a Lite, $75 for DSi, and $100 for DSiXL!

Are any stores doing midnight launch? Any other game specials or giveaways that you've heard of? Let's list them here!

This probably doesn't quite qualify as a "deal," but...

On second thought: they are giving away schwag to the first x# of customers.

Kmart is offering $25 off the price of one 3DS game with the purchase of a system.

I got a print out (like those in store coupons) when I was at Target yesterday offering up to $60 bucks trade in for your DS towards a 3DS. It just needs to be taken to the Target 'Mobil' portion of electronics for them to 'value' it for you. Of course it needs to have its charger and all that good stuff to be able to be traded in.

Amazon has two 3DS related deals. The first is a match of K-mart's deal, though it will take approximately two days to get the code. The other deal is Buy one 3DS game, get another 3DS game $10 off. It also appears that you can get a free accessory if your purchase a 3DS from them. I guess I'm glad i already preordered mine from Amazon...

According to my Amazon 3DS page, there is also a $25 off any 3DS game code when you buy a system. So if I buy Pilotwings and the system, as I already am, I'll get $35 credit for another 3DS game? Which makes another 3DS game a scant $4.99 for me? Sold! Amazon - it never fails to fucking own my face.

Probably not. At least one person on CAG believes you can only use one promotion at a time. You can try to do that though.

Well, since, for some reason, my Pilotwings Resort is shipping today, we'll see if I get the $10 game credit. Already got the $25 for the system and the free accessory, so if I don't get the $10, no big deal. The PW Resort page does not mention the $10 code, however I did see it on my product page for PW:R last week, so we'll see if anything comes through in the next day or two.

I feel slightly miffed. I got coupons for all the games I bought (Rayman, Steel Diver, Bust A Move, Nintendogs, Pilotwings, Dynasty Warriors) and now will need to buy other games before the end of June to 'save' the $10 a game (none would count towards another game unfortunately). I did buy Street Fighter and DOA and it gave me credit off those, but I sure hope that there are some other titles that drop before June that I'm going to want to make sure I get (at a less than gut busting 40 a game).

I took advantage of the Buy 1 get 1 1/2 off at TRU on Sunday but was very particular about what I bought. All of their games were $39.99 each, where certain titles were $29.99 online and at Gamestop - like Bust a Move 3D.

Also, I looked at games like Super Monkey Ball, Steel Diver, Dinosaurs, Super Monkey Ball and Pro Evo Soccer and decided that those would be hitting the discount bins pretty soon, as well as turning up used at Gamestop very quickly. Those are the types of games that younger gamers buy but get bored of very quickly. I'm interested in all of them but will definitely be waiting for them. It seems like the best deals are going to be to wait and buy them in 2 months after the next few waves of games hit and drive demand for launch titles down.

My $10 from Amazon for PW:R just came through. I feel better about paying $5 for Steel Diver instead of $40, lol. :)

Good news. The amazon credits stack. I got Monkeyball for free. Too bad there arn't alot of new releases on the books before these credits end. And pre-ordering the games hitting before then doesn't work either. They have to be released (I tried with the new RE that hits Mid June).

Damn, I was hoping to wait it out until Zelda. Hopefully it is released before June 30th! Also, has anyone gotten a case yet? I was thinking about getting the puppet case, but I'll probably get a minbackpack since it is more functional.

Small update. I ordered the mini backpack on the 31st. I just got the notification that it was shipped out today. It's taking them some time to process that silly little backpack since that was really the only option for a case that they were giving us. I was really sad with the optional cases.

Our minibackpack took 4 days to ship as well. I guess that everyone went with the most expensive option instead of the $4 styluses or screen protectors.

I like playing with my Nintendo 3DS rather that my Xbox because of the great graphics especially the 3D effects. It seems like I'm in the real game.
