Hello! I've had this thing, sitting in my miscellaneous electronics tote, for a little over a decade. I got it as part of a large miscellaneous video game box from a Good Will if I remember correctly. There were two Intellivision systems (that both worked), and Atari 2600 (that worked), and a whole mess of random cords and controllers that I either found a machine to test them on (they all worked as well), or were more or less unidentifiable.

The point with that spiel is that I'm pretty certain this thing would work if tested on a ECS... at least that's what the other items lead me to believe.

So: what possible value can this keyboard have by itself and more or less can not be tested and found working?

If you really need a better look at it, here's the full resolution image:

If you aren't familiar with the Intellivision ECS, check it out here: http://www.intellivisionlives.com/bluesky/hardware/ecs_tech.html

I contacted an Intellivision dealer (specialist?) on eBay, who said:
"If it looks good, ask 100 for quick sale or 200 best offer. Who knows what it will bring. I paid 200 plus shipping from abroad, for my first one and it is defective."
However, I think he might have misunderstood what exactly I had as there's a piano-type keyboard and a "Keyboard Component" for the original intellivision, both of which seem to be more rare.

The ECS isn't that rare, you won't get $200 for one. That guy is thinking about the Keyboard Component, the home computer attachment that the whole Intellivision I console slipped into the top of, had a built-in cassette drive also. That didn't take off and it was too expensive to produce, so they killed it and quickly manufactured the ECS to take its place. And I can't imagine why anyone would need a spare ECS keyboard, it's not like they're particularly fragile.

Cool, thanks for the reply. I don't know what to do with it if there's no market for it. Maybe I'll just list it for a really low price and hope it finds a good home.
