Well. Be realistic. Prices increased on this one for last years. 5 years ago i bought myself a CIB for 160$. Now i watch on egay and do not see anything mint below 400$.

I don't know what the fuck is happening to people. Shelling out that much for a damn box is crazy stupid. Before, it could have easily been gotten for around $50...now? $250? I rather just stick to my damaged box.

This game isn't hard to find, it had a print run of over 300,000 copies. For reasons unknown (beyond the fact it's a decent game) people are clamouring to the finish line to buy a copy when the supply is plentiful which is jacking the price up well beyond what it should be. It's truly sad that the price cartridge only is at such a level presently.

I'd ask the TS why exactly are they looking for a copy, complete a collection I assume.

Just because there is a supply does not mean the market will be driven to consume all available copies at an never-ending seeming pace. There have always been plenty of copies on the market, perhaps moreso now thanks to the price at which quantities are selling. Quantity demanded is outpacing quantity supplied and the price keeps increasing. Unless you want to paint a great picture beyond the following potential determinates:
- not (see: never) coming to Virtual Console
- Mother 3 translation within past 2 years
- Brawl

I think a lot of it is hype, I seriously doubt such a large segment of the fanbase (outside collectors) is what is driving this ridiculous price. It would be nice to do (or see) actual economic data behind it but in the end it doesn't change the fact it's way the fuck overpriced.

The economics of it isn't complicated, demand is extremely high for ones in reasonably good condition.
