I'm wondering what are the average going prices for the systems/computers that for the most part, lived and died in the 70's (Fairchild Channel F, VideoBrain Family Computer, Exidy Sorcerer, APF-M100/Imagination Machine).

There don't seem to be many of these up for sale very often, probably due to lack of interest. Anyone have an idea?

Bump. Actually saw a Sorcerer and VideoBrain on eBay, both with high BINs.

The Fairchild systems are relatively inexpensive, but the VideoBrain, Sorceror and Imagination Machine can run anywhere from $300-$700+ depending on what is included, completeness, condition, etc...Generally, with those latter systems, you are competing with computer collectors and all three seem to draw some interest when they appear in open auctions.

How about the APF-1000 without the Imagination Machine computer attachment? I know the games are pretty lame, but I occasionally see a cart or two at conventions, and have been wondering how much it would set me back for a console.

APF systems generally run about $75 or so.

Good lord, or Sorceror's really worth that much?!?

I guess so. What can you even do with them?

Stare at them admiringly!

Or wonder if there are any GAME cartridges out there, and hope to stumble across a stash of them...

They are all in 8 track cases. People that made it couldn't even bother to make their own cartridge design.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the Bally Astrocade. What's the going rate on those?

I only paid $40 each for both my Fairchild Channel F and my Astrocade. Forty seems to be the standard going rate for old consoles as of late.
