We all have dreams and goals for our different video game collections. My goals not in particular order are as follows: 1. Own a fully restored arcade standup. 2. Own a library of Neo Geo Games(probably MVS), 3. Complete my Nes Collection(118 to go!!!) 4. Complete a library of games from Nintendo, Atari, and Sega(got sega out of the way with my 32X complete). 5. Write a book dealing with video games. 6. Go to Vegas to a CGE 200X. 7. Help in the process of a video game creation 8. Own over 10,000 games(7,900 to go!) What are some of your video game dreams for your collection?

I want to one day be able to pass on my hopefully-by-then HUGE collection to my next of kin, who will continue it and make it even bigger for THEIR next of kin, until one day my family name will be known in gaming history for having not only the largest amount of games, but spanning the longest period of time.

Oh, that and finally one day shake Ralph Baer's hand and tell him thank you. I would have done it at CGE, but the last two years he hasn't gone. Hopefully he's OK, and maybe can go either this year or the next one or sometime in my lifetime.

Finish my Master System collection.

...and by finish, I mean: get all the games I want to play (and a few I don't) all nicely boxed with instruction manuals. I'm up to 109 games, and only 3 are loose, and 90% of what's left all have their manuals.

I guess my collections coming along pretty well! :-D

My goals are pretty small :D :

1. Complete my NES collection (only 3 to go, 4 if you count NWC)
2. A complete SNES collection (guessing I only need about 50-75)
3. A complete GENESIS collection (only need about 50, maybe less)

Those are probably going to happen within a year.

My long range goals:

Complete all of my "old school" collections

Atari, Intellivision, Colecovision, SMS (I have about 50 to 75 percent of all the games for those systems)

I set my goals low, uh not really. 8-)

If I get all of those done, I am sure I will find something else (like N64)

1. Get to work on this PS2 rarity list (which you can find in the "collecting" forum. (read:shameless plug)

2. Get my PS2 collection well over 40 games (may happen this year, depending if my cash goes elsewhere)

3. Start heading for a complete N64 collection...which will take me awile, but I have confidence.

My goal in life is to try and collect everysingle video game/video game related that I can get my hands on,I also want to learn everything there is to know about video games no matter how long it takes, video games are family to me.But what is most important for me above all else is that I spend the rest of life and for eternity with video games which I will, thats all that matters to me is how much I love video games with all my heart and soul and how much respect I have and always will for video games, forever. :D :D :D

My whole dream is to collect as much as I can and play what I have time for on the way. After I retire however, I plan to spend my final days beating every game I didn't have time to beat in my youth!

Hopefully by then you don't have arthritis in your hands. :P

My Goal is... to own and play lots and lots of Video Games.

My Main Goal is ..to give it all to my Son...a massive Gaming Collection..and keep him up to date on all the latest systems.
Teach him all about gaming....from Pong too........~~~~~~~

He's only 2 ...He's surrounded by games..he loves playing with the tabletops, sitting next to me on the couch with a controller in hand..and pressing the buttons on the cab..trying to copy me.

My goal is to collect every game that I want. Not every game ever made, just all the ones that I want.

It's a fairly big list, but it's getting shorter as time goes on.

My goal is to just slowly keep buying and playing games as long as I can afford it, just to keep myself busy. System by system. Now I'm going for saturn and 32X, then dreamcast, then psx or whatever system I can get my hands on.

All cartridge based systems and Cartridges under $150 pre-N64 (no gameboy) domestic releases only. Fairly reasonable when ya think about it.

Every Nintendo cart ever released in the US. Including GB/GBC/GBA. Maybe even Cube and Game&Watchs.

My only goal is to eventually beat every game I've bought... highly unreasonable goal though.

I don't have any goals.. I just play videogames and when I see a game I want to play, I get it. Simple. :)

Actually.. I take that back. I want classic Upright arcade games. I want Robotron, Donkey Kong, a Taito Space Invaders, and others. I can get them now but it just doesn't make sense with the nomadic state I'm in. Once I finally settle down and get a house with some semblance of permanency, I'll work on this.

I'm one of those "list" collectors. I have about twenty-five games and two systems (the Marty and TurboDuo) to get, and everything else I can probably do without.

My goal is simple: I want to sit in a room surrounded by gaming greatness. I have a list of all the games that I really enjoy for all systems. Eventually, I want to get all of these and know that I have a complete collection according to my opinions. I think that would be a great feeling...

Goals...hmm...

My goal when I started collecting back in 1996 was to basically indulge myself in the dream childhood I didn't get to have due to my parents having a decent sense of pragmatism when it came to the family finances.

Towards that end, I'm working on having at least one functional example of every pre-NES cartridge based device, and an accompanying reasonable, but not excessive, selection of games. A few systems yet elude me, such as a Fairchild or a working Microvision. Once this is done, I think I'll be content.

Oh, that and finally one day shake Ralph Baer's hand and tell him thank you.

A worthwhile goal. Luckily I already got this one (http://www.geocities.com/zenoszone/IMAGE101.JPG) out of the way. Hopefully you'll get a chance, too.

My most immediate goal is to have a gameroom. This will require me to move, but when I do the room I have planned out in my head will be a thing of beauty.

My primary goal is to round out my console collection. I'll consider my console collection complete with a 5200 (I've yet to find one for a reasonable price).

After that I'll concentrate on beefing up the libraries of a few consoles. Nothing major - I'd just like a dozen or so games for my TG16 and Jag. Stuff I remember seeing/playing back when they were new (and stuff from our "Top 20 Games of System X" lists).

Once I'm happy with that stuff I'll concentrate soley on the newer systems. I pretty much do that now as it is, but I still enjoy it.

The last few years my goals have been limited to fufilling my wish list at CGE. Overall goals? Finding new and amazing things that keep me interested in gaming. New releases for the 2600 or the Lynx is always on my wish list for CGE. It's amazing what they can do with the old hardwrae.

Long term goals? Getting all of my gaming stuff on my PC via emulators would be cool. I've gotten most of the classic stuff on emulators (VCS, Lynx, even MAME) but I have a couple more to go. Do you think they'll ever make an emulator for the X-box? :-D
