heres someting that hasnt happened to me in ages, i came across a system today i knew nothing about. i picked up a bare tomy tutor for $2, theres some info on the web, some tasty looking screenshots of games. i understand that its sort of TI-99 clone and it was short lived but thats about it. can any experts out there fill in the picture? whats it worth tradewise and how hard is it get the games (ebay price range)?

Hard to say about worth since it isn't very sought after just because few people know -- and therefore care -- about it.

There were ~12? carts for it here in the US, but it was also released in Japan (as the Pyuuta and Pyuuta Jr) and I think there were another 6 or so carts only available there, but some are renames, so I'm very unsure of that number right now...

For whats it worth, in the past, i've seen Tomy Tutor reach 100$ on epay.

I've only see ones go for that much if they were mint, in the original box with the joysticks and everything with 10 or more games. A bare TT would go for around $25-30 max on ebay.

mmm...

this kinda like what i found with the mattel aquarius, although this sounds like a much better machine. i had some nice aquarius stuff but i just didnt like the thing and it took ages to find someone who wanted to trade for it. luckily this time i have a friend who has some tutor games but no system, i think i'll let him have it. unless i can find a joystick and scramble on ebay soon. anybody know if other there are any other compatible controllers? TI-99? atari joysticks?

The european are more computer collector than us, so you will have probably more chance on this side.

That possible, because the last one i saw has been sold BIN for 125$ and this was for the bare computer only. But i will be very surprize if this happend again.
