Monday, April 11th, 2010 @ 10:00am EST we will start selling the EverDrive-GG Flash Cart. Unlike prior EverDrives we will be selling the cart version only. We will not be selling a board only version. We will be selling this for $99.99 and this is what you get:
EverDrive-GG (Rev. 1.0) assembled into a resurfaced pre-cut Game Gear shell with high quality vinyl color label
Brand new 2GB microSD Card and SD adapter (optional SD USB adapter is $3 more)
Mini phillips screwdriver
Plastic Game Gear cart case
User Manual
2 Free Firmware/OS update coupons (1 expires 6 months after purchase, the other expires 1 year after purchase)
EverDrive-GG sticker
Stone Age Gamer sticker

Unlike previous EverDrive carts there is no way to access the microSD card without opening the shell. This is why we provided the screwdriver. However the shell was modified to make this process as easy as possible (see image below).

Can this play Master System games on Game Gear?
YES!

Can this play SG-1000 games on Game Gear?
NOT YET, but Igor says it may be in first OS update.

Do I need to send it to you to do OS update?
No! You can do OS updates yourself, just like on all EverDrives. Its the firmware updates that require special hardware to update, which it may never need. The current firmware is very solid.

Can I pre-order now?
No sorry. However when we do run out of stock back ordering will be possible.

This sounds fantastic. I never use my Game Gear; this is just the excuse I need to fire it up again.

This looks very cool. I haven't used my game gear in quite a while. I think this could breathe some new life into my old system. I will definitely have to buy this. I am considering purchasing a new gaming system. Anyone have any suggestions as to where would be a good place to look for one? What about hhgregg (http://www.hhgregglearningcenter.com/)? Would it be worth my trouble to look there? Thanks a lot.
