What was that exactly, an arcade board?

Hmm, some good games on that board. Star Wars arcade,Virtua Fighter 3, and Daytona 2 are some of my favorites. Now we need somebody working on a Triforce board emulator so we can play some Mario Kart Arcade. I would think that Nintendo could get this game to work well on the Wii but I'm a realist and won't hold my breath:)

Awesome. Just played Star Wars Arcade.

No audio support yet. Emulation is imperfect but Star Wars was playable.

Very exciting. Really hope they finish. Model 2 emulator (Nebula) works but development I think stopped.

I knew it! As soon as I bought a beat up Star Wars Trilogy Arcade the emulator would come out! :O Still I'm not complaining, I'm very happy to see some progress on the emulator. :)

How good does it run the original arcade Daytona?

I have a recently built PC, and they made a version for multi-CPU pc's and it works. With mine, the graphics and sound are great. The main problem is setup. Like an actual arcade machine, you have to choose settings like country for racing games like Daytona and Indy 500. Also have to set the game mode to single and not master/slave (no network). Emu will save the settings for future.

For some reason will not allow you to choose anything like the X and Y axis on a D-pad. Which is a disaster, plus those games work horribly with digital control. They need analog like a steering wheel and pedals. Light gun games like House of the Dead work with the mouse.

Model 2 Emulator (http://nebula.emulatronia.com/), now version 1.0 (12/31/2010), but make sure you've got DirectX (even version 9) totally updated (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3) or it will crash. Also unloading the rom usually crashes, so you have to close the emu and open it again to choose another game.

Always remember though that the emulator will NEVER be the actual arcade machine:)

Always remember though that the emulator will NEVER be the actual arcade machine:)Yeah, emulation will take up infinitely less space, not require maintenance or consume nearly as much power, can go with you wherever you bring your computer without the need to hire movers, etc. ;)

Talking about missing the point of private ownership of arcade games.

Although I generally don't encourage playing games via emulation, everyone owes it to themselves to get Sega Super GT and play the heck out of it. It is one of the best arcade racing games ever made, period, and for whatever reason it is totally overlooked. I still know where one is on location in Milwaukee and nothing will ever quite match the real thing, but from having worked at an arcade for years that had this game, it was the one game that I never, ever grew tired of in our line up.

Sega Super GT is simply one of the best racing games ever made, period.

Oh of course, and it's very hard to replicate the joystick of the Star Wars arcade. :)

I'd love to have the option of emulating it, this arcade is huge, even though I love it, the thing just takes up a load of space! (and needs some repair!)

I recommend using this app as the loader front end.

Someone once used this analogy. "emulation is like masturbation, playing the real thing is like getting some for real".

Needless to say I loled
