Hello. Just got a Sega Saturn with Nights,3d cont, tomb raider and a few other loose games. Any owners got any good game suggestions. I like shooters fps and 2d, Indy Jones type games, nothing too hard to beat, games that are only on the Saturn would be great. I already have most of the new systems but 360. Any help is greatly appreciated. I find users are better than reviews. Plus I just want some fun not overly complicated games to play. Thanks in advance.

I know you will get 1000 posts stating this but try Guardian Heroes. Ok, you will be dropping around $100 for a complete copy but it's a fantastic game that is also great to play with friends. If you can't afford it then save up for it:)
If price isn't a problem, try Panzer Dragoon Saga, Shining Force III, Dragon Force and Radiant Silvergun. :)

Radiant Silvergun is the only game you need.
er..
if you can play imports I suggest the definitive version of Castlevania Symphony of the Night

Three Dirty Dwarves and Shining the Holy Ark are two exceptional Saturn exclusives which often get overlooked.

If you like Bomberman, the Saturn version is one of the best if not the best to date.
Elevator Action Returns is a great update to the classic with new mechanics, three different characters and 2-player mode. Original game is also unlockable.
Cotton Boomerang, a shooter but it's fairly easy (you can block shots and you have smart bombs) and it's got a 2-player mode. Gorgeous 2D visuals in that one.

Guardian Heroes
Saturn Bomberman
Three Dirty Dwarfs
Clockwork Knight
Clockwork Knight 2
Burning Rangers
Sonic R
Die Hard Arcade
Panzer Dragoon
All of these titles I've mentioned were mostly Saturn exclusives. (Sonic R was also released on PC).
As someone else pointed out, Guardian Heroes will cost you, but it's one of the most rewarding and satisfying experiences in gaming I've had over the years.
Clockwork Knight 1 & 2 are highly overlooked side scrolling platformers.
Die Hard Arcade is an excellent Arcade beat-em-up done in a 3d polygon style.
Sonic R is a largely under-rated game that has some great visuals and charming gameplay. I happen to love the soundtrack, while more gamers can't get past how cheesy it is.

If you have a real taste and "eye" for those weird one-of-a-kind games, I'd check out "Mr. Bones." There isn't a lot of material on it (I believe) on the web, and its certainly not one of the must owns for the system but its still interesting enough (and different enough) to give it a look.

Saturn has some of hte best home versions of a few Taito games like Metal Black, Elevator Action Returns, and Liquid Kids.
The Arcade Gears series of releases is awesome as well. Image Fight & X-Multiply is not to be missed, and Three Wonders is really great also!

You need Darius Gaiden and Panzer Dragoon II. Saga is great, but it's an RPG, and pushing the $200 price tag. I've listed some more greats below:
-Astal (often overlooked, under appreciated platformer)
-Virtual On (especially if you're lookin' to drop $90 on the twinsticks)
-Sonic Jam (one of the few Sonic compilations that lets you lock Sonics 2 and 3 on to play as knuckles. You can even lock onto Sonic 1 to open up the secret minigame. The 3D Sonic Museum was a nice touch too).
-Virtua Cop 2 (but only if you have the stunner)
Those are the best exclusives I could think of that weren't mentioned already, but if you've got Street Fighter Alpha 2 for the Playstation, I recommend throwing it away and buying the superior Saturn version. Same goes for any other 2D Capcom game. Oh! And don't forget Last Bronx :D

Have to agree with you on Sonic R. I can't remember how many times I've beaten that one and unlocked all the characters.

Yeah, Galactic Attack really surprised me with it's quality, and you can get it pretty cheaply.
No one seems to have mentioned Fighters Megamix yet. It's a cross over between Virtua Fighter and Fighting Vipers, and it has a whole bunch of new characters as well, many of which are crazy. I mean, you can play as the car from Daytona USA! The gameplay is pretty solid, and as far as I know, it's still a Saturn exclusive.

X-Men vs. Street Fighter is pretty fantastic & can be found fairly cheap. MSH vs SF is good too, but the excessive flashiness with every hit can be a little annoying now...
Also, Shining Force 3 & Panzer Saga if you have some coin to drop.

I'm surprised nobody has suggested these yet. I consider these vital parts to every Saturn.
http://www.racketboy.com/store/sega-saturn-modchip.html
The Saturn modchip for model 2 Saturns from racketboy requires only minimal soldering and is perfect for beginners.
It allows you to play burnt CD-R backups of your precious often difficult to replace games so you never have to worry about scratching them.
While I don't endorse piracy, it also allows you to try before you buy. There are a lot of Saturn games that exceed the $60 mark and depending on your tastes not all of them might sound appealing. The modchip can be used to save you a ton of wasted money in games you might end up disliking after dropping a lot of cash on.

Action Reply 1/4MB cartridge
This one cartridge does it all - it's a Saturn Action Replay cheat device, it' allows you to play any 1 MB or 4 MB expansion RAM game such as the more advanced fighting games and best of all it allows you to boot NTSC-J games from your US Saturn. Many many of the best Saturn titles are import only, so this is an absolute must if you want in on the best the Saturn has to offer.

Thanks for all the recommendations. My next question is which is the best all around memory or import game playing cart to get and who has the cheapest price? Sorry but newbie to the Saturn and love it and would like the most out of it, again thanks.

The Action Replay 4-in-1 cart that Satoshi_Matrix linked you to is the way to go. I've been using this puppy for ten years.

Snatcher: they added some crappy 3D intros, but the heart of the game is untouched. Don't know whether you'll get the Japanese version, but on SegaCD the code was KONAMI (input on Jordan) to unlock the slight differences. Policenauts is its heir (not sequel); both support the gun. Shining Force 3 is a strategy rpg like Hoshigami, but faster/funner. Sega Rally is a good Euro grand prix racer. Wipeout 2097 should be the same as the PS1's. Should be at least 2 Darkstalker entries, though I don't much recommend the first (the best has the Chinese ghost-stalker who wears the paper bans). Definitely Astal and Arcus Odyssey.

I've been told many a time that this code is bull. Did you really get it to work?

I think anywhere around $30 is the only price you're going to see. I bought mine from a fellow from Australia that I don't see on e-bay anymore. There is one on e-bay right now for $31 shipped that looks like a good bet. Otherwise, the racketboy link seemed to be just as well priced, or you could try watching the used sales on Amazon.

I just bought the Saturn version of SOTN, and I have to say that I'm dissapointed. Stick with the Playstation version.
As previously mentioned Gallactic Attack is a great 2.5d shooter that is common and cheap, I found a complete copy at my local retro game shop for 10$. Very satisfied with this game. I would like to play it with an arcade stick though, I need one of those, but which one?
Alien Trilogy is a surprisingly good, quite underrated FPS for the Saturn that is also very common and cheap. Nice atmosphere, nice graphics better than Doom for sure.
The best value for the Saturn is for sure Panzer Dragoon II: Zwie. One of the best games on the system, with nice arcade rail shooting gameplay. Usually goes for an affordable price too. Get two Mission Sticks and hook them together for dual stick controll, and if your going to get those, get the Sega Ages compilation, which is also usually rather affordable compared to most other high quality games for the system. It has arcade perfect ports of Space Harrier, Afterburner, and Outrun. The Mission stick plays great with this compilation. Die Hard Arcade is another fun arcade game, its a pretty fun multiplayer beatem up published by Sega, I've heard rumors that it was originally intended to be Streets Of Rage 4, but later given the Die Hard Liscense instead. Solid Beatem up either way, and much cheaper than Guardian Heroes, which I was a bit dissapointed with for what I paid.
Another great, cheap game that you don't hear too much about on the internet is World Series Baseball II. It is compatible with the 3d controller, and is easily one of the greatest Baseball video games ever made. The gameplay reminds me of Baseball Stars II, but it's loaded with features and gameplay modes, as well as excellent looking 3d stadium models. Can't go wrong with that one. Madden NFL 98 is another dirt cheap, yet solid sports game that doesn't get much credit. Also compatible with the analog controller (3d controller).
And if you didn't already know, Sega Rally Championship, and Virtua Fighter 2 are top notch games that are very easy to find for a low price. Both games are Easily among the best of the entire 32 bit era in my opinion.
