Got this in a lot of stuff and don't know what it is. It has a nine pin plug and on the box it accepts two SNES controllers as well as a nine pin Plug on the side. What's it used for and is it worth anything?

Huh. Bizarre... Makes me think an adapter to use 2 snes controllers on genesis, except there's only 1 plug on that side cable.

Umhh, Yeah it's SNES plugs, my bad! I fixed it in the original post too. Maybe it's for the 3DO, I'll have to try that out and see! Could really use it if that's the case since I don't have any six button 3DO controllers. The thing is is that this thing looks like it's home made with a dremel tool as the holes cut into the casing are very rough and not entirely symmetrical and even and the 9 pin plug on the case has the port with the screw holes in it for a PC type controller.

Did you figure this out? I'd guess either Atari 2600, Master System, Genesis, or 3DO to SNES controller adapter. I'm kind of curious to see the insides :)

There was another one of these posted on the site in 2006. It's for the 3DO.
