I have a USA Super Nintendo with region mods switches (for lockout and speed) and a Game Genie for silly fun. Just wondering, besides games any other recommendations from SNES fans regarding controllers, add-ons, peripherals etc? Suggestions and comments, even things you strongly feel I should avoid lol! Thanks in advance!

The Super Game Boy is a good thing to have.

In terms of stuff that'll work with a US Super Nintendo, I'd recommend these:
-Super Game Boy
-Super Scope Six (make sure it has the receiver box that plugs into the SNES)
-Ascii pad - great third party controller w/turbo buttons
-S-video cable - not really a collectible, but it'll make your games look great!
-Super Multi-Tap - essential for 3+ player games like Secret of Mana or the Super Bomberman games

I have quite a bit of Japanese stuff I'd recommend tracking down too:
-Super Famicom controller - more colorful variant of the SNES controller, but with a MUCH shorter cable
-Satellaview - connects to the bottom of the Super Famicom and, with the supplied BS-X cartridge, allowed users to download exclusive games via satellite
-Hudson Same Game Cartridge - Similar to the BS-X cartridge, but Hudson branded
-Super Famicom Carrying Case - large plastic box designed to hold the system and a few games/controllers. Some have Mario/other game logos on them too.
-Super Famicom Box - former hotel unit that has 5-10 games on large proprietary cartridges
-Super Game Boy 2 - nearly-identical to the Super Game Boy but it is a cool translucent blue color and has a link port on the side allowing you to connect it to other Game Boys
-Super Game Boy Commander controller - designed to look like an original Game Boy with shortcut buttons to change the color/window frame/etc.
-Pachinko Controller - for more realistic gameplay in the crappy Super Famicom Pachinko games
-Super Bomberman multi-tap - a multi-tap in the shape of Bomberman's head!

Get yourself an RGB capable CRT at 19" to 25".

For a "collectors" angle, the larger super famicom tv combo unit does internal RGB. The smaller one is composite I believe.

Holy hell I just Googled this. How had I never heard of something this awesome?

On-Topic, here's my NTT DoCoMo SFC data controller. I want the whole package that came with it, when I can find one:

Tons of cool stuff for SFC/SNES.

I always liked these too, ProgramPads. Would like to find a CIB one.

Retrozone's Super Powerpak. Save wear and tear on the cartridge connector for all your games! Not to mention the ability to play a great number of fan translated games, hacks, homebrew and more. This is an absolute essential item for any serious Super NES fan.

If you aren't too picky (As in, you don't care if it's the hard plastic, Nintendo-branded one), you can pick up a mouse pad at just about any store that sells computer stuff

Are the pads in demand? I think we still have one smacking around the basement somewhere...

If you get an Ascii pad, swap the cord with one from a first party controllers. Everything about the Ascii pad is great except for the short cable, and it's such a quick mod to perform.
