Hi folks,

I was wondering, is there a list of the carts that were released for this system? What kind of boxes did they come in (instructions?)? Any ideas of thie general value?

Thanks!

Yours,
Rob

as far as i have seen they are just shipped in an anti-static bag, they're not carts at all, just boards with socketed eproms.the boards are about half the size of a business envelope and go directly inside the machine on the motherboard. the games came with mini marques, little painted metal signs that stand up on top of the system. the instructions appear right on the screen, arcade style, thats the major if not only difference between these games and the NES versions. the quarter driven gameplay is controlled by a digital timer and a lock-out, not by how well or bad you do in the games, you could play several different games on 1 quarter.

off the top of my head ican name all the games i have and a few more, not a complete list at all.

mario 1, 2, 3
castlevania, fester's quest, chip n' dale, goonies, track and feild, punch out, metroid, 1942, rc pro am,temco bowl, temco baseball, rush n' attack, kung fu, ninja gaiden, sky captain...too early to recall more but i bet that you could google it.

the games go for anywhere from $15 to $45 for commons (90%) and bit higher for a few rares. if you find some one who has them laying around his coin-op rental shop you can get an amazing deal, thats how arcade collecting works. its a neat system to have, especially if you're an NES fan, the countertop version is especially sought after.

There was somebody on ebay a while back who was selling Playchoice 10 games with different EPROMS slapped on them--w/ games like Mega Man 1. He stated them as such, so I KNOW they are out there.

So you are saying that the ones this guy you speak of was selling were pirated Playchoice 10 games, Dobie? Or are they official releases?

Thanks!

I might be able to talk to the guys downstairs and find a list of official Playchoice10 releases. I'll see if I can find anything out about Nintendo Super System releases also...

If this helps at all, I know that SMW and The Addams Family were both released for the Super System...

Ack! Don't forget The Goonies, a Playchoice 10 (and Famicom) exclusive. It has a more old school arcade feel than its sequel, which was turned into an adventure game.

The Goonies was a VS Unisystem game, not a Playchoice 10 game (if I am not mistaken).

You are correct sir!

Goonies II (barf) was in the PC-10 machines and on the NES. The true Goonies game was VS Unisystem.

Actually, the original Goonies was on famicom (in japan), Vs, AND Playchoice-10 (in the US).

Has anyone ever made an adaptor to play PC10 games on the NES/Famicom or vise versa? Not sure why you'd want to, but just wondering...

Hi Folks,

Briniging up an old thread here. :-)

I did a little digging, and for those keeping track, I found a few more on ebay right now to add to this list. I didn't see any evidence hat these are converted carts, so please correct me if I am worng:

Arkanoid
Circus Charlie
Donkey Kong Jr.
Elevator Action
Galaga
Joust
Xevious

So, anyone got word on whether an adapter is possble? These are 90 pin carts...very odd in comparison to Famicom and NES carts.
