Dragon's Lair DS - anyone know about this?

I picked this up today and tried to look up some info on it, but there's virtually nothing out there. Is this a difficult game to find, or is there just a lack of interest?

Come to think of it, it was released much later than the DSiware port was; are they the same game, or does this have some extra content to it?

I'm unaware as to whether or not it's different than the DSi Ware version of the game (it may have higher resolution video) but I can say that the DSi Ware version (along with all of the current gen Digital Leisure releases) are generally arcade accurate/authentic ports of the title.

We're currently in a golden age of home ports for Dragon's Lair, Space Ace and other classic laser-disc arcade games, thanks largely to the work that the people over at the Daphne Project have done in waking up developers as to how it should be done.

I can say with all certainty that the DSi Ware version is very good, but I don't think you can do wrong with picking the DS version of the game up either, I'd assume it's at least the same.

It likely uses the same video file from the DSi Ware version then.

It's not that bad all things considered but in comparison to the iPhone and PSP versions, it is more visibly compressed.

My local distributor doesn't carry it but I've had no problems getting it for my store from amazon.com.

That is an EXCELLENT review of the software!

The OP should look no further than that to make a decision.
