Is orange Box PS3 PAL region free?

Hey guys, I'd like to buy the Orange Box for my PS3 and notice that the going rate for the European version is about half what the North American one is.

I'm Canadian, and wondering if I could import say the UK version of The Orange Box and expect it to run without any problems on my PS3 and NTSC only televisions.

I know the PS3 is supposedly region free for nearly all games, but I just want to make sure I'm not going to end up buying something I can't play. Thanks.

Yes, but many European games will not play in 480i or 480p. You will only be able to play it in 720p and above.

my PAL copy plays fine at 480i/p for the record.

I've never heard of a single region locked Playstation 3 game. Are there actually any?

Im not 100% sure but I thought that stranglehold was going to be locked for the NTSC-u release due to having hard boiled with it and even then Im not sure they went through with it. Apart from that I know no others.
