Dollar Tree Gbc

I was at the Dollar tree the other day and i saw a Barbie Gbc(Gameboy Color) System Protector like this onehttp://www.unitedgame.com/prodimages/BARBIEPROTECTORGREEN.JPG

why is this there. they only sell gameboy color game and systems in Retro game stores and such. they at least have the Al Cheapo Ds Lite/DSi Carry case there.it looked as if it was made back when the Gbc was being Produced but the company that made it on the box was a New Company. why was this there.any ideals

Because that's what dollar stores do: they sell obsolete and/or ultra-cheap products that may or may not be under licence. Also, InterAct did exist back in the days of the GBC, so I don't see why you say that it's a new company.

i know Interact existed back then but the picture is just an example of how it sorta looked. i can see why Amazon sells some like this because they still sell Gbc's on amazon and someone might need something like this but the Family dollar doesn't sell Gbc's there. they can at least sell the Ds things like this because the DS is hugely popular.

I find lots of old stuff at dollar stores in my hometown. My local 99 Cent Only store has copies of an XBox game... High something Casino.

Like Lady Jaye said, these stores buy out old warehouses for cheap and then sell the stuff at a small (or large) profit. That's what most of my uh, find suppliers, do.

Here's an idea: if you think it's such a travesty that a store which sells things for a dollar first, and somewhere around priority #652 is "give a shit what some nerd thinks about game boy color," maybe you should just not buy the damn thing. The reason why there weren't sleeves or whatever for the DS is because there were no sleeves for the DS in the big shipping container full of crap that was parked in back of the store.
