I posted this exact message over on AtariAge, but then I realized that there may be more 32X knowledge here:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had a successful weekend looking for games. I first found a 2600 Submarine Commander yesterday which I knew I didn't have, but I didn't know was a rarity six. Today on a Sunday drive, we stopped and I bought a Sega Genesis with a 32x (everything was clean, set-up, and working) and 5 boxed games. It cost me $40, but I knew the game I wanted and she wouldn't sell it alone. The Spidey cart is mint (looks unused) with manual and game catalog and it is boxed in a good box (not mint, but very nice). I know this cart is pretty rare, but I also know 32X games aren't exactly big collectibles. I couldn't find the game on Ebay. Any ideas about its worth?

Thanks,
RG

Great find. Spiderman complete will definitely fetch over a $100 easily.....much like mine that I got for $5. :D

I picked my Spiderman Web of Fire up brand new at Babages when it forst came out. Little did I know back then it's rarity today. Great find!

Wow -- $100. I'm happy and I knew the DP forums would come through with some information :).

Nice. What do you think of the game? Some say it's mediocre, others say it's decent, but I've never played it myself.

Hey, Shinobiman, do you remember how much Spiderman was when you picked it up at Babbages? I'd be interested in knowing what price Sega stuck on their last 32X cart.

Nice find! I kinda like the game too, though I'm partial to those Final Fight/Streets of Rage style games.

The 32X Rarity List is online here:

Though I have to tell you, I've had 2 or 3 Web of Fire's over time but have yet to track down a boxed Blackthorne. I shall prevail - eventually!

Game ON. Enjoy it!

Holy Crap Joe, a ma and pa game store around here has Blackthore boxed and un boxed. I'v been meaning to pick it up, its $5 if you want me to fetch it. If its still there, it has been there forever, but I haven;t checked lately.

And good find Ranger. I love doing that, when you find a fantastically rare game in great shape next to nothing. That is the soul reason I collect, I love finding those kinds of deals.

Wow...cool nice find. I'm not much into the 32X stuff but I do have a couple of systems laying around. I'll have to keep my eye out for Spiderman.

Thanks for the congrats. The game actually is pretty fun to play, but the graphics are nothing special (the 32X could have done better). I actually have the instruction manual so I figured out right away how to control Spidey (he has been hard to control in some other videogames I have tried).

Take care,
RG

Kid Ferris, it was indeed 50 dollars when I bought it back in the day. Very hard game... annoying really.
