@ Title. Bought it off amazon Sealed, and stupidly I might add without further inquiry. In the back of the game came with what looks to be a french manual.. but the game itself has no further french language anywhere in addition to an English manual. Any insight as to the difference? I might end up re-buying as it's somewhat bothering me owning a Canadian version game, as silly as that sounds (I've had a few Canadian version NES games with both languages and it really annoyed me). Sounds like it, I have a few ps2 games like, no french anywhere on the case. expect for a extra manual. Did it come inside the case?, or sealed to the back of the case?
I would keep it if I where you, to me, it seems that Canadian versions are rarer to find then USA versions. So it slightly> rarer then ours.

Thank for the reply. It was behind the game inside of the seal, so the game then the manual separate but both sealed. It was very strange and I never questioned it until now. Is there a way to tell the difference?

if there is french and english on the package, its Canadian
if it came with a french manual, probably black and white but not necessarily, its Canadian

If it included a coupon for Poutine, it's Canadian.
If the game blurb ends most sentences with an "Eh", it's Canadian.
If the package has nothing but French, it's probably from Quebec.

Mine was like that too. For some reason the Canadian version of Jet Grind Radio got around. I bought mine from EB back when the Dreamcast was still alive (although fading fast, I think the game was down to $10 when I bought it).

If you throw away the French manual, you'll turn it into a US copy. Problem solved, no need to buy another US copy. They just attach a French manual onto a US copy to make it Canadian.

Oh God that'd be awesome actually.

This. When I was looking for one of the NFL 2K variants, the one I got off ebay was double sealed like this. Standard release game w/ additional manual to allow for sales in the great white north.

CompUSA sold the Canadian versions of a number of Dreamcast games in their US stores. As others have stated, all you need to do is open the outer wrap and remove the additional manual and all that's left is the regular US version.

Thanks for the clarification guys. I was unsure if the game itself was different or altered any way from its US counterpart. Cheers

I didn't know Sega did this with Dreamcast games. Sony did it with the PS2. Microsoft did it with very few Xbox games. Nintendo is the only company that has been balls to the wall Bi-(or Tri-)lingual with the packaging, although the actual games themselves are the USA version.
