Hmm. SNES RPG's aren't my area of expertise, but of the ones I've played:

1. Final Fantasy III (also in my top 10 games of all time)
2. Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
3. Super Mario RPG
4. Chrono Trigger
5. Final Fantasy II
6. Earthbound

I can't think of any more that I've played all the way through and really enjoyed. I did NOT like Eye of the Beholder.

1. Chrono Trigger
2. Final Fantasy 3
3. Final Fantasy 2
4. Secret of Mana
5. Breath of Fire
6. Breath of Fire II
7. Lufia
8. Earthbound
9. Zelda: Link to the Past
10. Super Mario RPG

That is my order of the ones I have played. Chrono Trigger should be the first you seek out in any case as it tends to cost a pretty penny compared to the others. Especially complete...

I'll have to agree with this list...you also can't go wrong with Lufia 2, Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Secret of Evermore.

Including Action/RPGs and excluding imports, I'd say . . . .

Chrono Trigger
Earthbound
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
Illusion of Gaia
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Lufia and the Fortress of Doom
Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals
Secret of Mana
Super Mario RPG

If you want to throw in import titles, though, you'd need a much longer list.

Breath of Fire is extremely boring, IMO.

SoulBlazer

Okay, here's my list, but keep in mind a LOT of these games have been upgraded and re-released for either the PlayStation or the GBA. If you want to collect them, fine -- if you want to PLAY them, for the love of God, go wtih the new versions! :D

Especily since the translation on many of these SNES RPG's left something to be desired -- Final Fantasy II, anyone? :P

In no order:

Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
Chrono Trigger
Earthbound
Super Mario RPG
Illusion of Gaia
Terranigma (PAL only)
Secret of Mana
Arcana
Dragon View

I'm including Terranigma because I played the game back in the day -- a friend imported the game from Europe and let me borrow it, and modded my SNES so I could play it. I'm not including Zelda: Link to the Past because for me that's a adventure game
