Does anyone have one of these? I'm looking at this one specifically, as I have a 20" monitor I could use for my room of doom setup that would be pretty sweet... could someone who uses this let me know their opinion of it?

:/ We've got one in the Babbages that I work at, but I'm reluctant to try it.
Once upon a time, I had a VGA adapter for my PS2. Said VGA adapter was made by Innovation, which up to this point had been a relatively good company, in terms of all the Dreamcast accessories I owned. Anyhow, I tried it out- colors were blown out and muddy at the same time. I can't find it right now, but somewhere on the sony site, it says the PS2 will only work on synch-on-green monitors, so I'm guessing that would be the problem with the Innovation VGA adapter.

I've got my DC hooked up to a 20" monitor as well! The VGA box itself is great, the picture is fantastic. The trouble is though, there are quite a few games that won't work with it. By quite a few I mean 1 out of 5. The most disheartening are the emulators, like the StellaDC and MAMEDC. I started to keep track of these but kinda got away from maintaining that list.
I'd definitely go for it but be prepared to lose a few previously playable DC games in the process.
I've only had a few DC games that didn't work with the cutover trick.
1)Put the VGA box into s video mode.
2)Have a VMU in a controller and have it plugged into the DC
3)Turn on the DC
4) When the VMU stops its beep, flip over to VGA mode.
My 36" TV has VGA ports on it. You should see the difference between VGA and Svideo on games like Ikaruga and Unreal.

I'm not talking about the DC specific VGA adaptor, though. That one I would imagine takes a digital signal and keeps it digital, which means it would look great. What I'm talking about is the VGA adaptor in the link, which takes the analog output from a console and converts it to something the VGA monitor can display. Have you tried one of those? If I get it, I'll be using it for every system from 2600 on up to DC... and probably a directv receiver and vcr as well.
