I recently got married, and my wife's mom casually asked me about my Nintendo games one day. At first it seemed like she was just trying to figure out why I'd "waste my money" on such a thing, and why her daughter would think this "23 year old man who plays video games" is a good marriage prospect. Well, today she dropped by and gave me some (in her words) of "those grey nintendo thingies." She had talked some lady in her neighborhood who was having a garage sale into selling her all of the following for $5 total. She asked me if she paid too much!!! All of this stuff looks like it was never played, and all but Double Dribble had the manual...

Nintendo system complete (original version, manuals & stuff included)
Advantage controller (manual, no box)
Power pad (paperwork, no box)

NES Games:

Double Dribble
Excite Bike
Galaga
Ghosts & Goblins
Goal
Ice Hockey
Legendary Wings
MLB Baseball
Mike Tyson's Punchout
RBI Baseball
Skate or Die
Super Mario Bros
Super Mario Bros 3
Yoshi
Zelda (w/ maps and everything!)

SNES games:

Wheel of Fortune
Wordtris

Some random other stuff in there:

SNES controller
SNES power supply
SNES Toy story manual
SNES Jurassic park manual
SNES X-Men Box (but no game?)
Game Gear Tom & Jerry Manual (again, no game!)

All in all, I think she did very well. I think I was most impressed that she actually remembered that I collected games! I had most all of the stuff in this lot, but a lot of it was in better shape than the copy I already had, so I swapped them out. I've hardly ever even found so much as ONE game at yard sales (just bad luck I guess) and she hits the mother-lode!

She's a good mom-in-law. I think I'll keep her daughter around too

I must be dreaming. I'd never thought I'd live to hear someone make a kind comment about a mother-in-laws

Great deal. if she can do that for you, maybe her daughter would be your best ever.
