Just checking on this thread to say that I've really been enjoying inFAMOUS ... while I'm thrilled that it was free, I'm kind of bummed that I didn't grab it earlier ... as I feel inclined to dedicate some time to this one before moving on to the 2nd, which looks pretty amazing as well.

If I was asked to describe the gameplay, I think it falls somewhere between Crackdown, Assassin's Creed and modern GTA games, in a very good way, and all of those games were appealing to me, so this one falls right into my comfort zone.

If I have one criticism it's that some of the character animations are a bit on the goofy side for a game that has some serious/dark subject matters ... but at the same time there's some odd juxtaposition of completely NON-goofy animations where combat/traversal is concerned. Looks like they fixed a lot of that in the sequel.

This was a great choice for Sony/Sucker Punch to offer up in the Welcome Back package and a great silver lining to the down-time of the PSN.

Looks like the Japanese PS Store is still offline. I wonder when that will be coming back.

It suddenly occurred to me that, while I don't have a PSP, I could set the downloads to my account so I have them if I ever get a PSP again.

Then it occurred to me that some (if not all, not sure) downloadable PSP games can be played right from the PS3.

Nope

The only software playable on both a PS3 and a PSP are PSOne games and PSP Mini's (Although there are 3-4 Mini's that are PSP only). The downloadable PSP games in this welcome back program can't be played right from your PS3.

Well, in any case, the games are tied to my account now, so if I ever get a PSP, I'm set.

Might want to poke around the Welcome Back Program section of the PSN. I happened to look under Welcome Back Program under New Releases and I noticed the 30 Day Free item was back. I got it and, low and behold, it added another 30 days to my free PSN+.

I saw it say that they were adding a free month. I didn't think of looking under the welcome back section, if it's even still there for me.

Anyways, my PSN Plus expired on 07/03 and while PSN Plus content is locked and I can no longer use those, but it hasn't locked me out of using the PSN cloud for save data. I've even attempted transfer data over to my PSN cloud and it still allows me to store my save data there.

I don't mind about not having any of the PSN Plus free games, I actually didn't download any PSN Plus free games except Sonic 2 and Streets of Rage 2. I downloaded Midnight Club LA free 60 minute trial and that game was complete garbage. I didn't even finish the 60 minute trial before I quit the game and deleted it.

But yeah. Free PSN cloud.
