A Sega Sammy Holdings earnings report (http://www.segasammy.co.jp/japanese/pdf/release/20110516pre_j_final.pdf) (PDF) may have outed plans to release Sonic Generations (http://joystiq.com/game/sonic-generations) on PC and 3DS. Spotted by Andriasang (http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2011/05/17/sonic_generations_3ds/), a section highlighting titles planned for Sega's current fiscal year includes a listing for Sonic Generations on 3DS and PC as well as the already announced releases for Xbox and PS3.

Given the history of portable Sonic titles, the 3DS listing certainly makes sense. Joystiq has contacted Sega for comment.http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif (http://www.joystiq.com)Sonic Generations listed for 3DS, PC in earnings report (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/17/sonic-generations-listed-for-3ds-pc-in-earnings-report/) originally appeared on Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com) on Tue, 17 May 2011 11:30:00 EST. I can't wait to play this on 3DSi XL in a couple years. I wonder if this build will be significantly different from the console versions.

I hope the PC port is better than the PC port of Adventure and Heroes. Glad I don't have to buy another system to play it on.

I have to wonder if Sega's insistence on supporting the PC platform was detrimental to its financial situation.

What financial situation? They've got enough money to put games into urinals! (http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2011/01/sega-urinal-games/)

PC version! That's great news. :D I'm looking forward to this.

Edit: Well, actually I'm still skeptical about new Sonic games until they come out. But I'm looking more forward to it now there's a PC version.
