What classic gaming systems are you going to eventually acquire at some point, but at the moment they are just going for prices that are a little too high for your blood? (or maybe alot too high for your blood)
1. Turbo Duo - I would absolutely love to get a Turbo Duo, but the prices are definitely too rich for my blood. If I could get one, that I know works good for a hundred bucks, I would do it, but right now I have to pass on them when I see them on Ebay.
2. Turbo CD Drive - Because I can't afford a Duo, I got just the core Turbo-16. So I would be interesed in adding a Turbo Drive, but even the Turbo CD Drives by themselves go for more than I'm willing to caugh up. Especially considering you need to have the right system Hu card to go with it, etc. They go for a solid 100 bucks right about now, and I would be willing to caugh up about 50 bucks. So I wait.
3. 3DO system with accessories and a good lineup of games - I see alot of nice packages of 3DO systems on Ebay, but by the time it gets close to the auction ending, the prices seem to skyrocket. If there is a good package of games, and accessories, it can get into the 200 buck range. Too pricey for me.
4. Jaguar CD Drive - I'm amazed at how much the Jag and the CD Drive go for. People really have a special place in their hearts for the Jag and the Jag CD. I was able to finally get a Jag, but the price of the CD attatchment has been way up there. Just like the Turbo CD.
5. Sega CD package - I'm very close to getting a Sega CD package. I'm talking about the unit, in good shape with at least 5 good Sega CD games that I would actually buy individually if I had my choice. I've bidded on a number of them, but everytime the price goes just barely above my buy point. I remain patient at this point, but eventually I'll snag one.
6. NES system - The NES is another system that I'm very close to snagging. But the price again, always goes just beyond my bid point. I could just pay extra, and get one, but I'm thinking I'll find one at a Garage Sale or thrift shop real soon.

I have all the systems I need. Maybe except a JVC X-eye, or a CDX if I can't fix mine.
Only after arcade PCB's these days.

I know, I know, too retro. :)

I've always wanted to go buy a NeoGeo, but they're always way too pricy for me. Same with the 3DO.
But I did pick up a Sega CD pretty cheap, and I bought 4 games for it also pretty inexpensively. Just $40 total for a Genesis 2 system and CD unit, and about $5 a game for all my games.

The only 'system' I want right now is a Gameboy Player. I just counted, I have 29 RPG's I have yet to even touch in my collection, and a handfull of other action/adventure type games too, but I'm absolutely feening for a Gameboy Player and the Castlevania games, Metroid, Golden Sun, argh!

I have a perfect working NES with all hook ups, light gun, controller, manual and all paperwork. It is literally close to being brand new. I will trade if you have some games or whatnot you want to trade with me.
oh, and to answer your question....I really want a Neo Geo AES, but can't afford one right now.

I have everything I'm "allowed" to get right now (sigh). My own fault I guess for always going overkill. Though in the near future I would REALLY, REALLY like an original Famicom along with the Disk System! Aside from that... Well, everything else I don't already have, especially a Vectrex, Aquarius, 7800 and a ColecoVision. I'm also impatiently waiting for the GBA player to be released for the Panasonic Q that I have (told you I was overkill). *sigh* :(

Currently I have no job so I can't afford much. I've sold or traded in almost all the 20+ systems I've owned. Once I do get a job I'll probably start buying the stuff I used to have again. SNES, Dreamcast, Saturn, etc.
I'm thinking of buying a Neo Geo AES JUST FOR SAMURAI SHODOWN 2. It's that damn good.

I still want to get a Virtual Boy, Turbo CD, and N64 DD...I can afford these, but I'm certainly not going to pay what some people are asking for them. I have no problem waiting for a deal to come along.

I have everything except a Neo Geo AES and an FM Towns Marty. Don't really want anything else other than those two. And the Duo is WELL worth having :D

1.-Channel F. I want one. I actually don't find the games terrible(but I have odd tastes anyhow), but the price for a working one seems a bit steep.
2.-turbo duo. I have this thing about wanting systems that are easier to deal with with an all expansive version rather then a bunch of upgrades attached (see my cdx).
3. A vectrex. If only for Space War.
4. An Astrocade. Well, I can afford it, but lets face it, I haven't looked too hard for one, and I don't have anyplace to put it as it is.

An Adventurevision..,,When they do pop up on Ebay I bid high but..I never keep pushing..Due to the fact that I always find a bunch of other things I want too..That just happened too..
Someday I'll focus on getting one andl put some cash aside for it..

I would love to have a Vectrex myself as well, that thing looks damn neat.
The only other systems I'm really looking for are Turbo Express, Turbo Duo, and a 7800. Even if I nab a system 3.0 card for my TG/CD combo, I'd still want a duo just because I want everything made Turbo wise. I'm avoiding imports right now because I know that'll send me off the deep end.
Oh, and I actually do want a PC-FX, just for motivation to get me to learn Japanese.

I'd like to get these as well. :duh: Although I'd have to figure out whether I really want a Duo or a PCE, since I imagine the shmupping is better on the PCE. And if I got a Sega CD, I'd probably want to grab a 32X as well, just to go the whole nine yards.

BZZZZT. Currently available at retail. Insufficiently retro. No soup for you.

I'm looking for a TurboDuo and a Vectrex, as I already have games for them. The Turbo's probably at the top of the list, what with all the import RPGs and shooters.
I also wouldn't mind an FM Towns Marty, but the only real reason I'd get one would be to play what's supposed to be the best version of Emerald Dragon. And maybe I'd get a PC-FX, just for Team Innocent and Zenki.

There's no such thing as too retro.
My collecting emphasis is pre-1985 cartridge-based consoles. I've got a quite a few; some rare (Vectrex), and some weird (Socrates). A few consoles yet remain elusive: Specifically, a Bally Astrocade, a Fairchild and a Sega SG-1000.
One day, my ship (full of illegal Japanese imports) will come in...

An Astrocade, Odessey 1, and a Famicom Disk System. I'd also go for one of those Japanese dedicated Space Invaders units that they had. Real Rare suckers!
To anticipate replies:
in the late 70's and early 80s, there were units made that played Space Invaders, much like Pong units. Want one just for the exoticness and story behind them.

I'd like to get a C64 and a TI994A. Even though their not expensive I'm broke to the extremes and I have about 50 plus games for each
