I got a really good deal on a black label FF7. The disks and artwork/manual are in pristine condition but the case is cracked on the front. Does anybody know where I could find a replacement case on the cheap?

Take a standard transparent/clear jewel case and pop the lid off, and flip it over.
There you go, you now have a new front panel. :popcorn:

Thanks for the tip. I dont have any plain jewel cases around so im going to get some cheap cds from the pawn shop.

Why's everyone pointing him in the direct on normal one disc jewel cases... Aren't you looking for a 3 disc jewel case since that's how many FF7 had?
I really don't think you're making a topic just to ask where you can buy normal jewel case?

Aren't you looking for a 3 disc jewel case since that's how many FF7 had?No, he's asking how to repair the front of the case, which is cracked. The clear front and back of the three disc jewel cases are exactly the same as standard single disc jewel cases. The only difference is that the front of the three disc jewel case is the rear part of a standard case. You replace them the same way though. There's almost no way to damage the black innermost part of the case (the part that makes it a multi-disc case) without trying.

I noticed in the past that not all single jewel case fronts are compatible with the 4 CD style case fronts.

Apologies for bumping an old thread. Just registered to say thanks for this tip. I can't believe I didn't notice this before, and now my FF games look good as new! Though they're missing the Playstation shiny seal, but I'm not too bothered about that. I would never part with these.

Also check thrift stores for cheap CD's for like a 1$ use the cases same with DVD's.
Me personally I while at a thrift store they had bagged a bunch of CD & DVD cases for 3$ each.

Glad to know that I'm not the only person who noticed this.
Also, depending on how the case was molded and injected there might be a small circle or on far edge of the case of semi-opaque plastic.
Not everyone probably cares, but I've done enough case swaps that I've noticed this over the long period of time.
