do any countries besides the US use ntsc/72-pin NES carts? if so, which countries?

Yeah, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, etc... uses 72 pin

I'm not sure, but I think a few asian countries (or certain small areas) used 72 pin nes carts.

Hmmm, even better, what countries used 60 pin? What countries used both?

Brazil used both, but I'm not sure about their actual "legitimate" NES carts... There was at least one company (bootleg, I'm sure) that was making double ended carts with 60-pin at one end and 72-pin at the other.

Asian and HK versions are 72pin, and I think that they're PAL. Only the first generation got released there too if I'm correct.

Korea had official 72 pin NES games based on the American versions released, but I don't know whether it was in NTSC or PAL. The actual data was exactly the same as the American versions, English language and all.
