I might have seen this asked once before but I don't remember. I'm trying to find a site that has revied ALL the games for either a NES, SNES, or N64. I've seen alot of reviews on the most popular games over and over and am looking for some of the not so known title reviews. I'm sure if I look I can find a review here and there, but is there one site that has taken the initiative to do all of the games, whether in text or video?

Only website is that fits that description would be gamefaqs.com. Quality varies between reviews, but there's a review for just about every game there.

Actually there are tons of games that still aren't reviewed on GameFAQs, but, yeah, if you're looking for obscure reviews, that's probably your best best (but there's a good chance that the review will stink). In lieu of that, check HonestGamers. Old IGN coverage can be good for N64.

I can't think of any system that's been fully covered besides Virtual Boy on GameFAQs, which has a review and FAQ for every game. Granted, that's a really small library.

I might decide to do it myself then. Now if only I had a complete library of a system...

Wasn't there one guy who made two paragraph reviews of games? He might have done that by now.

Edit: This guy -- http://www.videogamecritic.net/

That one is pretty good, doesn't have all of them but still awesome, thanks

Stanley J. Stepanic's has a complete NES(including PAL!) guide/list on NESWorld. It only has a very small review for each game, but it covers every single NES, even the non-licensed games and PAL. It also gives company and rarity info. I generally agree with his reviews, but they are very short. Some are one or two sentences, but they give you an idea if you should get them or not. I have used his list for a long time and have found many hidden gems because of it.

I've been building the foundations for a site like that for a while - someone bump this in a year or so when it might fit the bill. ;-) But yeah, I can't think of anything that yet. GameFAQs has a lot, like others say, but plenty of missing games. MobyGames has a lot of reviews too but again overall incomplete.

Well, there is an issue of quality versus quantity here and what exactly makes a piece of writing a "review". If we're talking a sentence or two just for the sake of completion, sure, you can brag about covering every game, but I wouldn't call that actual reviewing and I'd question its usefulness. If you're just getting input from a friend, a "this game is good" or "this game is bad" can suffice, but a legitimate review needs to actually back up its claims and cover the game in full. I find that when I review a game with 300-400 words, I feel as if I'm still only scratching the surface and would like to go into greater detail.

Like I was saying about the bad reviews on GameFAQs, some are so bare-bones and weakly supported that I feel I learned nothing and that the review may as well not exist.

Other than gamefaqs, I often use Allgame.com. It has all NTSC and PAL releases for just about every system listed with at least an overview of each game. Manygames have deeper critical reviews. They give a thorough overview of each console as well.

Dr. Sparkle over at Chrontendo (http://chrontendo.blogspot.com/) is playing every Famicom / NES game in order in his video series. It's less review and more educational, like one man's encyclopedia of games, but worth checking out. He also has other series for the Master System (Chronsega) and PCEngine (Chronturbo) but those aren't moving as fast as his flagship production.

Chrontendo Episode 38 was just released so right there alone you have over 38 hours of video to catch up on. Episode 38 finishes up with Ninja Gaiden in early December 1988.

His videos progressively get better as he gets more comfortable with the format and pumping out the content. Granted, there are some mistakes and so forth but it's one guy playing all these games, then providing video content.

Old IGN coverage can be good for N64.

Seconded. IGN was a great tool that I used when I was doing extensive research on N64 vaporware between 2002-2004

While looking through a thread on NA I found someone mention this, http://nesguide.com.
Doesn't have a review of the games but does give an overview and has a video of the gameplay for every game I looked at on it so far, it has import games on there too. It has NES, SNES, N64, and TG-16 I don't know if every game is present on there but I think they might be.

We should start a combined effort and review a game every two days. First day, someone writes a small review(a paragraph or two). Then, members post suggestions and changes. We take a combined review and move to the next game. If we had 4-5 guys, we could take turns posting the original review of each game. Then, we would have a day to update/change it and move on.

Something like this:
Micro Machines: (NES, by Codemasters/Camerica-Released 1990):
Racing game that is considered to be one of the best on NES. Similar to “R.C. Pro-Am,” but includes a multi-player option that is a blast. You race through a variety of interesting courses with tiny toy (Micro Machines) cars, boats, pool tables, and so forth. An innovative game on many different levels, with the courses and different cars adding to the experience. The controls are spot on, while still providing a good challenge. One of the best racing games on any system and can be found for cheap. Micro Machines is a 1 player or 2 player game that provides different experiences, but top-notch enjoyment. One of my all-time favorites!

Then let people add/change the review for a day and then finalize it.

Maybe start with a system that is smaller than the NES, but still popular. Although, with the PowerPak, the NES or SNES may be good choices.

http://www.thebrothersduomazov.com/ is pretty close to a review for every game on the PC-Engine/TG-16 family of games.

For Sega CD this is good - http://www.angelfire.com/ny/dezmoowu/segamain.html

For any system I start here as usally has good links in an easy to use format - http://www.mobygames.com/
